A good few twists and turns, a couple I saw coming but most surprised me.

This was pretty slow to start, like just so much world building and complicated politics to explain. The characters were easy to like and follow though, Kel especially has a way about him that is intriguing.

Things started to pick up though and it was easy to stay hooked. Quite a lot happened in the last like 30 pages and I am eager for the next one

I felt really hooked in the beginning but then it all kind of lagged and I felt like we never got the big reveal everything was leading up to.

Despite that I would definitely read more by the author because I really felt lost in her words, during the storm I kept thinking it was raining in real life too.

A really good ending to a great series, 2 is still my favorite of the series but I enjoyed getting a few chapters from Jacks POV and would have loved even more.

My only complaint is minor but sort of a spoiler.
Where were Marisol and Tiberius for this whole book? He was at least mentioned as missing but what happened to Marisol she wasn’t even mention when Evangeline got her memories back. They felt like kind of important characters fighting Evangeline and they just pooled away.

Even better than the first, I was hooked the whole time. It was great seeing new parts of the world and learning more about each character.

Thoroughly enjoyed this fantastical world. Jacks is so infuriating it is hard to not love him, he’s exactly the kind of character you love to hate.

Meh this was just boring, for such a “spectacular” heist there really wasn’t a lot of excitement. Things moved very slowly.

The concept of the book is such a cool concept but I don’t feel like it was done very well. There is just something missing and then that ending!?!?
I’m not sure why no one gives Amy more information about anything and then refuses to believe her. Will being a book character at the end is wild and we also don’t know what happened to her grandma or literally anyone else on the island

Not my favorite V.E. Schwab but she has a way of writing characters that is really compelling, the story flows through and I feel like I am them.

This was so much in one book but I am so happy where everything went and look forward to more in this world
