This was a pretty good “locked door mystery” just on an island, none of the characters were super loveable but that was part of what made it good.
I totally called Eliza being Chloe and I kinda hate when authors do that to try and fake you out it’s kind of over done

Fizzy and Connor are just the cutest couple their romance really feels like it could survive real life. There was just something about this book that felt less “cheesy” then other romances, not that cheesy is bad but these characters just felt very mature and had so much depth.

Not my favorite TJ Klune but the characters were loveable and the moral was good

I enjoyed the opposite attracts story between Julian and Hallie and loved the wine country setting. The secret admirer notes mostly felt unnecessary cause they were doing fine without them. My major problem with this book is that both Julian and Hallie seem to think the only way through their emotional baggage is having another person be their anchor and I don’t really feel either of them learned to trust themselves and fully accept who they are individually. Like they only accepted their flaws once the other did and that doesn’t feel like a healthy message to send.

I liked the start of this book but then it just went downhill. The middle of the book was just kind of boring and the same thing over and over. Then the end was anti-climatic. The love story kind of fell flat overall and I feel like we didn’t get to see them have a real connection to care that much about the relationship. The side characters were way more enjoyable and saved the story from getting to boring.

I just wish Hazel was my best friend and Josh too, this was just such a sweet love story that I couldn’t put down.

The multiple twists right at the end were a shock, I saw one coming but was not prepared for more. Definitely a lot of triggering and upsetting situations but a good thriller.

I mean what a love story, not just a romantic one though, the love of found family and friendships that last a lifetime.

A lot of build up for what could have happened a little faster. Plenty of twists in this one.
