I liked Crave. It was good, but I did end up waiting to dive back into this world. I had to read a Dark Academia book for @book.club.bitches bingo so I took that opportunity to hop back into the world of vampires, dragons, witches, werewolves....
I was not disappointed! Oh my gosh! This book is addicting! So much happen to Grace and the gang.
Most importantly we get to meet Hudson... 😍🔥😈
This is a long but awesome read. The unexpected love triangle, learning more about the royal families, learning about the circle, the competition, and Grace finding out that she belongs more at Katmere Academy more than he realized. Plus that ending... 👀... I jumped right in to book number 3.
If you love fantasy romances, vampires, and things that go bump in the night, I highly recommend picking up this angsty novel.

I'm just going to be honest... I bought this book because there was a beagle on the cover. #sorrynotsorry Regardless of the beagle though, I wanted to give the story a chance... unfortunately this one... fell flat for me. 🥴 None, and I mean NONE, of the characters are likable. Lu is just all around not a great person, True is pretty pathetic, and Dawn is a gaslighter. It is also super unrealistic, but that didn't bother me so much. I will say though, who really cares about Keanu Reeves in 2022? Is he still relevant?
All and all, don't let the adorable beagle trick you, this one is no bueno. I really wanted to love it too. 🤷🏻♀️

If you are a Disney fan and you have never read any of the Twisted Tales series, you are missing out. What Once Was Mine is the 12th book in the series. This book is focused on the story of Tangled.
Instead of Rapunzel's mother being given the Sundrop Flower, she is instead given the Moondrop Flower. Needless to say, Rapunzel's story becomes a much different tale than the one that we all know and love. Many of the same characters have been included in the story, but we also meet new characters too.
I would highly recommend this story to any Disney lover, fairy tale lover, or if you are looking for a retelling of a classic story.

What a book! I read this one in one day. I couldn't put it down.
This book will have you questioning, is love at first sight a real thing? I still don't know if I believe in that, but for Laurie and Jack it is. I found myself yelling at both of these characters during both of their questionable choices and wiping tears away at heartbreaking moments they both experienced throughout the years.
Overall, I loved it. I feel like it will be a book I will pick up again and again to read. The "will they, won't they" keeps you on edge. It's complicated. You even feel wrong rooting for their happy ending at time; however, love isn't always pretty and perfect. It is messy and complicated. Sometimes you have to go through hell to find heaven. This is that love story.

If secret societies, magic, and ghost are your thing... then look no further than this book!
Secret societies have always intrigued me so when I read the synopsis, I was intrigued. This book starts slow (it is 400+ pages, so be prepared), but it does pick up and takes you on a wild ride! You get to hear two point of views for awhile, Galaxy aka Alex and Darlington. Although these characters are experiencing things and have very chaotic lives, I still found them both to be relatable. When it comes down to it, they are just two college kids trying to fit in.
There is definitely something for the thriller lover in this book as well. There are some twist and turns that I definitely didn't see coming!
I am definitely looking forward to seeing the screen adaptation, and I dying to read book two!! #whosreadytogotohell

Talk Bookish to Me was a cute and fast romantic comedy. I found both characters to be flawed, damaged, neurotic, and broken. Due to these things, I saw reviews that disliked one or both characters.
To be honest, I found Kara very relatable. I felt for her insecurities and I really wanted to help her to find a therapist. Girl needed therapy, but don't we all!? As for Ryan, I enjoyed his sense of humor, his clear devotion for Kate, and even though I saw his epic mistake a mile away I still forgave him and rooted for these two as end game.
Although, if I am honest, the real MVP of this book is Kara's best friend and music therapist: Maggie. She is AMAZING. Everyone needs a friend like Maggie.
I would definitely recommend this book to all bookstagrammers... especially because Kara is one of us. She is our people.

This story is captivating. How can a story about three, young girls disappearing be written so beautifully?
I was immediately drawn in by Anna. She is damaged and broken. You can feel her pain through the words on the page. Anna is passionate about her job, but she allows her job to consume her at times. This affects her personal life.
Overall, this book was a solid 4.5 stars. I loved it. But what really pushed it over the edge, making it a 5 star, was Paula's author's note. One of the girls in the story, Polly Klass, goes missing at knife point in the middle of the night. Turns out, this story is true. Polly is a real little girl, who was taken, and who inspired this story. Unfortunately, Polly was not found alive. The Polly Klass Foundation was started in 1993 in honor of her. It has helped 10,000 families find missing kids.

Thank you Netgalley, Minotaur Books, St. Martin's Press, and Alex Finlay for an advanced e-ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Review 🔍:
When I saw this synopsis and its many 5 star reviews, I immediate knew that I had to read it. The Blockbuster Killer made me so reminiscent and nostalgic for this 90s kid! I had to get my hands on this book ASAP. And I did!
Unfortunately, this one came up short for me. I wanted to love it, but the writing was meh. It felt like an unexperienced writer was writing this book. The multiple POVs were choppy and didn't provide enough relevant information from each side to be interesting.
Honestly, although this synopsis sounds amazing, I'd skip this one.
