Fun and quick read. Exactly what I'm looking for when I want some 80's style slasher-horror.

The only reason that I read this book was because six years ago I added it to my TBR list. I can't remember what compelled me to add it, and when I read the summary recently, it did not sound interesting in the least. Still, I was looking to clean up my TBR, and so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad that I didn't just delete this off my list because it was such a wild ride! Egon Loeser was probably the most entertaining character that I've read about in a while. The story was wildly fun...even when I was confused and wondering what the hell was going on. This book was far outside what I normally read, and it was a total blast.

Quite possibly the Book Of The Year for me. It was a story that I wanted to read from start to finish in one sitting, and yet, I kept putting the book down because I didn't want it to end too quickly. Insanely original plot idea that is pulled off flawlessly.

This is no rehashing of "Groundhog Day". There is brutality in this book, and the detailed horrors of England during WWII were so grim and painted such a picture of desperation, that I had to rate this at four stars. Unimaginable that people actually had to live through some of the times portrayed in this book. War is hell.

After revisiting Night Shift and Different Seasons recently, I had fallen in love with the Stephen King short story, but I wasn't sure if the thrill would still be there for this collection from 2015. While it isn't going to stand up next to those classic books from the 70's, Bazaar of Bad Dreams is no slouch, and there were a few stories here that surprised me with the direction they took. Very entertaining read, and if you still thing that King only does horror, you haven't been paying attention.

Faves include Mile 81, Bad Little Kid, Morality, Ur, and Obits.
