Absolute gold. Once you get started this one is really difficult to put down. Well written. Fast paced. Gripping.
Super easy to digest. I enjoyed the additional recipes inside the book as well for things like all purpose cleaner etc. Also a well balanced variety of things to think about like zero waste beauty and personal care, kitchen and cooking and even pets!
Well worth listening to as an audiobook. Excellent writing. Approachable and digestible content. Thought provoking and moving.
I've been thinking on this book for a few days. I listened to it as an audiobook that's been on my reserve list well before his big public fall out earlier this year. I felt like I still wanted to read it to understand where he comes from. What was his life like. What lead him down that path maybe?
I heard about a tough childhood. Now, I don't think that abuse or violence clears any responsibility for his own actions but it does help me understand his shaping as a person. What I didn't expect to learn about was his overblown ego. The amount of times I heard about him being the greatest actor or entertainer was kind of gross. He has an impressive resume, yes, but it just felt icky how many times his ego got in the way of meaningful relationships etc. It sounds like he struggles with the ability to bend. To see the other side to the coin in many scenarios.
It sounds like he's actively trying to work on it, but dang... he's got a long way to go. Now still an overall entertaining book, so I gave it a 4 star because I still enjoyed it for the most part. But dang Will. Do you hear yourself talk?

Super interesting read. Well paced. Easy to digest information.
Half memoir. Half self help book. For personal reasons I hated the chapter about her eating disorder and the one about pit bulls. I found them both very triggering to my own trauma with both. Overall I found this an easy listen. Well paced. Funny enough to keep me entertained, yet not too over the top as other comedians. Solid job Whitney.
Romanticizing toxic, trauma riddled men isn't super cute. I wanted to like this more, but it really left an awful taste in my mouth.
I mean... at this point I am not really enjoying them, but at least this one was much shorter.
Well, I put in the time to finish the series. This last one was incredibly too long. If they cut out like 40% of the really lame sex scenes it would have saved half the read time.
