This book was so much fun to read, also quite disturbing. However, the fun wins. Take a ride into the inverse. Either through the Shorter Way covered bridge or down into Christmasland. Be ready for the crazy art that is randomly scattered through the book and the cliffhangers at the end of every chapter.
Like I said at first, it IS disturbing, but I cannot deny the amount of fun I had reading this crazy book. It was a blast!

A magical story based in Great Britain that goes from the 21st century to the 17th. I enjoyed this tale of time travel and ghosts although I did think that the main character, Xanthe's, reactions to some events were a little too unrealistically cooperative, but otherwise I really had a good time reading this.

Wow! I think this is my favourite book by King so far. It was so creepy I expected ghostly hands to grab my shoulders while I would be curled up reading at night. Definitely a great read for anyone looking to actually feel the goosebumps from fear!

What a fun read!
The excitement starts up quickly with Thalia's Vaudeville act taking a strange twist that changes her life. The rest of this book takes place in NYC during the fast-paced early 20th century.
Full of magic not only in the writing but also in the beautiful pictures throughout the book.
Very enjoyable!

I loved this book of short stories! It really has something for every kind of horror fan, even some stories that I wouldn't count as horror but as more thought provoking. It ranges from grisly to the delicate, and everything in between. (Also, do not miss out on the hidden story in the acknowledgements). A great read.

This book was great! I felt like I was right there with Paul while he was going through this. I could feel the insanity dripping from Annie and it literally gave me chills as her craziness increased and increased.
Keep in mind that this book was published in 1989 and that some of the words used for her symptoms are different today. Today there is a whole new way of seeing mental illness.
But I got to admit, her psychosis seemed textbook real to me for a worst case scenario. And that was terrifying!

The way Blatty phrases some ideas can be a little odd, however, once the pace picked up it seemed more natural and I did enjoy it. Not as scary as I hoped, but definitely entertaining and full of creativity.

A great start to the Witcher stories. This is the first book of short stories that serves as a prequel to the five books in the official series. I loved some of the allusions to classic fairy tales like Snow White and also the sections that were specifically about what exactly a Witcher is. I'm looking forward to learning more about Geralt.

I loved this book. A really insightful look into the relationship between the conquerors and the conquered. Not only the warriors and slaves, but the life of the women in this brutal warrior society. A unique magic system and an engrossing culture that only Salvatore could create.
