I really loved this! Granted, there are not many horror books I don't love, but this one took it up a notch with the Jumanji styled trials mixed with Japanese folklore.

I really enjoyed the four main characters.  I feel like each was well-rounded and fully developed in a way that I could easily connect to.  This was full of twists and turns that kept me interested along with the fast pacing.

Definitely recommend this creepy read!

Another amazing read from Wesley Chu! The sequel to The Art of Prophecy left me needing more but also feeling like I really enjoyed having another journey in this world.

I got to see what some of my favorite characters are up to, Jian and Taishi.  I absolutely adore their relationship and wish i knew these two in real life.  This book expanded upon this gorgeous world with more lore and kept me entertained with the incredible fight scenes.

If you loved the first book or are looking for a fresh, fun, fantastic fantasy to dive into, then I wholeheartedly recommend this!

Wow! So unexpected! In a great way!

The Lgbtq rep (yes!!!), the excitement, the nonstop action but with staggering emotions and character development!  Really fun read.

I enjoyed this immensely.   I feel like this is a great book to pick up if anybody is ever in a book slump.  This has everything needed to take a person's  (at least mine!) mind off the real world.  Basically,  this just delivered and hit me in a good way.

Definitely recommend this!

sad fast-paced

My only complaint.... is that I wish this was longer!!
So so so good! I did not expect this, granted, I went in blind.  But I am so glad I experienced this.  It's a lovely tale that absolutely grabbed and kept my attention.   This is a novella, and as such a short read, it really delivers some powerful emotions.
I will not be forgetting this book anytime soon.

Okay, so this was unexpected.  I enjoyed this, but not in an excited way.  I felt like this dragged at parts simply because there were so many different pieces involved.  I loved the mash-up of fairytales, though, especially with the evil twist.  So I'm definitely glad I got to read this even if it's not my favorite.

I had some issues understanding the main characters.  Clara and Henni are best friends, so I thought they would be close in age, but Henni is constantly described as being childish.  I also didn't completely connect with Axel and Clara's romance because it just seemed a bit out of place to me.

However, if a story full of creepy fairytale retellings sounds good to you, then I hope you give this a go!

I have always wondered what my cat gets up to when I'm not around, and now I know! This is a brilliant, laugh-out-loud and charming fantasy.  I think the attention to the very realistic detail, how some of us humans rely on our pet counterparts, really made this book not just smart but feel like a big hug.

Charlie is in a bad spot in his life, but when he finds out his uncle died and stands for him at a very strange wake, I begin to see the real Charlie shine through.  This is a man who loves his cats, who can handle himself (mostly) in tough situations,  and absolutely charmed me with his overall kindness and sincerity even in villain mode.

I can not recommend this enough.  A quick read.  Something I will probably reread down the road.  Fantastic!

Magic in suburbia may not be too glamorous, but I'll take a talking cat any day.

This book revolves around three best friends from college who have all somehow fulfilled their dreams.  One is famous, one is rich, and the other found the perfect love.  Sarah and her friends had no idea this spell would work their first year in college.  However, after a mistake and the whole dorm burned down, all three went theirseparateways..  Twenty years later, they reunite to sparks of magic, but this magic seems to have even more of a mind of its own.

I really loved this.  I loved the witchy vibes and the main characters.  I think this is a lighter but well-done followup to the author's first book.

Sometimes, there is no other choice but to embrace the monster within.

This is for anyone who was not given a fair chance, who was dismissed particularly for being a part of a marginalized community.   Particularly in the deadly world of ballet.

I loved this.  I loved the main character and rooted her on to keep going deeper into this Eldredge god's power.  This was a blast!
