Lots of parallels to the Bowen/Mari relationship but a lot better. Like Bowen, Will also had a lot of prejudice against his mate's race but unlike Bowen, he was able to learn to accept his mate's race and actually embrace it. Plus I feel like Will had a much more valid reason for his hatred of Succubi than Bowen did witches. Really enjoyed the angst in this one for that reason. Like yes Will was a complete and utter asshole at times but I was able to forgive him for it since it made sense for him to act the way he did and afterwards he tried to make amends and it actually felt like he was making an effort.

Near perfect. I just got a bit annoyed with the 'love triangle' +Trehan's jealousy at times (I just also really missed the older characters lol) but I enjoyed the plot overall. Both characters were really lovable and Trehan was such a great mmc. I loved how supportive he was of Bettina and all her endeavors. Loved Bettina's growth.

Lothaire and Ellie my beloveds. Ellie is the kind of character I just adore. Loved her in the beginning when she had nothing to lose and just gave no fucks. Lothaire's development was so good and I loved his internal conflict as his feelings for Ellie grew.

While I loved them, my favorite part actually had nothing to do with their relationship and instead was the
scene between Lothaire and Nix when she came to visit him

Amazing character development in this one. He might not be for everyone for reasons mentioned in the book but Declan went from a character I hated to one that I adored by the end. Loved his story with Regin and how the whole Aiden/Declan thing was resolved.

The plot in this one was probably my favorite and Lothaire was such a great part of this story.

Really liked the angst. I enjoyed the plot and Carrow's (and later Malkom's) relationship with Ruby and found it really cute.

I'm so interested in the background plot of this book.

Ugh, the world building in this book was fantastic but even better was the relationship between Lucia and Garreth.

Didn't think I'd dislike an mmc more than I did Bowen but the final Wroth brother proved me wrong. Like OK sure I suppose he does get more character development than Bowen but I just really did not care for all his commitment issues.

Also not even considering Murdoch, I just wasn't a huge fan of the story. I like angst and all but this was just too depressing while also being boring if that's possible. Like it started off OK but then the angst and conflicts just kept coming and coming one after another. It would've been nice to have a few chapters seeing them actually happy but instead the best were some scenes before we got bombarded with more depressingness.

Highlight of this book was the epilogue.

Ok. I had to turn off my 21st century/feminist lenses for this but I really enjoyed this one a lot more than I expected to. It was nice to see how Nikolai and Myst got together after seeing the results of this book in all the others.

Definitely lived up to the hype. Both Sabine and Rydstrom were fantastic characters and I loved how complex their relationship was and how it developed along with how both of them were able to give as much as they got from each other.

Highlight of this was Holly and her development imo. Romance and plot of this was OK. I didn't hate it but it didn't wow me either.
