Love Comes Softly by Janette Oke

This book captured my heart for this series completely! I was a large fan of the movies growing up, so to read the book that inspired it was truly enjoyable. As per usual, the book outshined the movies in many aspects, specifically the ability to better understand what Marty was thinking in the moment.

I loved the cliff hanger ending. I will admit, it feels a bit complicated in the regards of the three men all love her who she lives with theme. It kinda seems like the author has narrowed down the person she'll end up with, but it's also really hard to see who she even likes? Hopefully future novels clear this issue up.

This book is quite fast-paced. That being said, it is extremely enjoyable in many ways. I personally was a big fan of the Love Comes Softly series, and when this was introduced into my life on television, I absolutely knew I needed to invest time in reading the novel. It shows a sweet, but innocent, perspective on falling in love, and how rumors are often trivial lies in disguise.

The flashbacks make you sad but also happy in a sense cause while you see some of the negativity in his past, you also have the knowledge of his bright future.
