I thought this book was quite enjoyable. It did like carrots development and I didn’t feel close to Isaac, Ada or Enosh which was frustrating as almost building a relationship with the characters is as satisfying as reading the book itself. I’m intrigued to see how the second book will start, considering how Ada in Enos find themselves on different. thought landscapes. I will say the intimate scenes are pretty good, but I was not keen on how many times he forced himself on Ada and how it was written with little to no depth or consideration of the complexity of seen such as that.

I read this book so quickly because the spice was SPICING and the plot was actually really good. There were moments in Malyr’s past that was SO uncomfortable to read. But really enjoyed the overall book and can’t wait to finish it with the next one!

Nothing else to add really, other than it was very consumable and read it very quickly (for me!).

Really liked it, even if I do find the prose to be a bit effusive at times.

This book, was good to read, but Half Baked in its prose, plot and character development. I found it difficult to get into but then finished it into three bursts of reading. I don’t usually read books like that so it wasn’t the most enjoyable experience but I will be reading the sequel as I find it difficult to not finish a series.
I do really like the concept, so I am looking forward to reading the next book, but I’m not sure I would recommend reading this book to anyone and I don’t think I will be picking it again.

I thought the first book was great, this book was better. While the literary prose left much to be desired with repetitive phrases and non-complex structures are still fell in love with this book. I don’t read romantasy books for their greatness, but rather how entertaining they are and how the love story is told really draw you in. I thought this book really explored poppies level of trauma in a way that the first book didn’t, and you got a real sense that hawk fell for poppy deeply and first. I thought the concept of the joining was hilarious and I definitely want to see that in either books 3 or four.
I’m looking to see where poppies powers can go and how she will influence a story moving forward between the vampri’s and Atalantians. Already looking forward to listening to book 3!!!

I absolutely love this book. I wasn’t sure that I would find another series that made me feel as deeply as the a ‘court of thorns and roses’ but it truly has succeeded in that. I love the relationship between poppy and Hawk while problematic, and she definitely has Stockholm syndrome, I think they are a romantic couple truly worthy of one another.
I am not a huge fan of werewolves vampires as a trope in fantasy books, but I think this book did a good job at distinguishing itself from the fantasy novels that use werewolves and vampires. I can’t wait to read book two!!

I really liked the final book in the trilogy. While the second book was definitely my favourite, this one comes in at close second. The tenderness between Wrath and Emelia was so gorgeous and I really loved how she grew in her relationships and she grew in herself. I will miss reading that the love story between Wrath and Emelia, but I look forward to 1 day rereading the first book to understand how heart wrenching it must’ve been for Wrath to have Emelia taken away from him.

Is the one complaint I would have is that it didn’t really wrap up the relationship between Amelia and the Toria and I was left confused by some loose ends.
