Thank you Valentine Pr and author Theodora Taylor for an arc to this book.

Pov: when you go on a couple trips to Paris alone cuz your ex boyfriend dumped you, but meet a hot British guy on the plane, have a one night stand and pretty much insta love.

Can't relate really but that's the story of kayla and Mick in a nutshell.

It was a quick read around 200 pages which scared me a little, and my fears came true because it was insta love. 😭 The storyline was the perfect formula for a cute romcom but.....it fell flat. The characters gave a very 2-D feel, I couldn't just imagine them as real people as I usually do.

I'll be a little honest here and say...the MMC was a little too asshole-y, and his way of 'british-accent talking' was not it.

The only redeeming part was the confession at the end.
Have you read this book yet? What are your thoughts about it?

A SERIAL KILLER PINNING FOR ANOTHER SERIES KILLER AND BOTH OF THEM HAVING A ANNUAL KILLING SPREE. SIGN ME TF UP!!!

i was NOT gonna read it honestly, cause I was weirded out by due to the cannibalism trigger warning (trust me it was not THAT bad don't worry). BUT, MY FRIENDS COMMANDED ME to read it so I did. And it was SO Unhinged I LOVED IT.

ROWAN KANE is my new obsession. Kane's never disappoint though. He got me into my serial killer era (guys I'm talking about the books.......mostly).

A handsome tattooed man, who is a chef by day and serial killer by night, who gets a tattoo for you, who will kill for you (literally) and has been obsessed with you for years, not to mention his golden retriever personality......a total package.
Pspsps ladies.....he has two brothers 🤭🤭😏😏.

The heroine has a major black cat personality. A girl who is totally badass and literally carves out people's eyeballs and still has normal girl problems namely social anxiety 😔😭 totally relatable.

The only part where I was a little disappointed was when she was showcased as a weak girl in one one fight scene. Like I understand the allure of the I'll save you and kill for you vibes by a big bad hunk but she was a serial killer for crying out loud, let her be a little more badass. But don't worry you'll see that side of her too later in the book.

Overall this was such an unexpectedly fun dark romcom. I loved it.

Gosh the way I am addicted to Ali's books. When she writes a book, I read it without hesitation. She's one of those authors whose every release lives up to all the past ones. She never disappoints
.POV: When you happen to beat the best chess player in a charity competition and he is now obsessed with you. And then you also get sponsored by a big chess club to play professionally.Yeah, I know, I can't imagine that, but the life of our dear Mallory is so unexpected. The tension and chemistry between these two rivals was out of the universe. The tension between them, delicious. Our tall and brooding Nolan was totally whipped with Mal, who actually thought he was on the verge of killing her. My poor boy, his crush kept avoiding him. But the way he was obsessed and went above and beyond for her was so exciting to read.Mal had some insecurities due to her past that she didn't handle well at first, but the way she soon changed, or as Oz likes to call it, pulled her head out of her ass, was a development that was worth reading.
And Oz gosh he was my crush throughout this book. Effortlessly mean loved him.

This author has such a unique writing style she makes you believe in love itself, no jealousy, love triangles nothing cliche. And no one can geeky talk/ flirt write better than our queen Ali.
