5 stars!!! - Contender for Favorite book of the year (August 2o24)
This series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series!! I am so grateful to the booktube community for screaming about this series from the rooftops in their videos! It truly gets better with each book in my opinion! This book is chunky and I intentionally split this one up into reading half of it in July and the other half in August! This was only because of the readathon Battleathon hosted by Mellenorereads. I knew by the 48% mark that this book was going to be 5 stars and I wanted to count it as a 5 star read for team Thorns for Battleathon!
This book didn't let me down for a second. I absolutely love Luther he is officially my book boyfriend for the year and I don't know if anyone is going to top his character for a long time. He has set the standards for me and I am not turning back!
Diem is honestly not my favorite main character ever written I think she makes irrational decisions throughout this book and honestly she was starting to get on my nerves a bit towards the end. BUT somehow Penn Cole makes it work. I have so many questions regarding Diem and her background and history. I really hope we get some answers whenever the final book comes out.
All of the different side characters is really what is doing it for me with this series! There is so much happening at all times and I just want to know all the things! The last few chapters of this book were wild and I am very curious how the final book is going to wrap everything that happened up! I think the last book the side characters are going to SHINE and SHOW UP!!
Burn of the Everflame has become my most anticipated book release of 2024! I really hope they don't keep us waiting much longer! And I would really like the know if anyone knows if the new editions of Spark of the Everflame are going to be coming out in paperback anytime soon... unfortunately I missed out on the original copies before they went out of print...

4 stars for battleathon!!
I thought this conclusion was fine. It took me about a week to finish this book. I am happy I decided to binge this series because if I'm being honest I think I may have lost interest in this series if I didn't read them back to back.
I was rooting for the main characters throughout this series and I think if you enjoy stories with quests and fighting for what you believe in then you will probably enjoy this series! Do I think this series was an earth shattering fantasy romance that stands out among the crowd? Not necessarily but I did have a good time over all! I did think this book was a little longer then it needed to be and I wish the final battle between Prisca and Regnar was a little bit more action packed for me personally.
But I really liked the side character storylines in this series and I was invested in where their stories went so I am glad I stuck with it and finished out this series!

4 stars for battleathon!!
I really enjoyed this 3rd book in the series! If you like quests and fated mates and fighting for the greater good then I think this series may be for you! Not only do I like the main couple in this series but I also really enjoy the side characters storylines! Most of the characters are fighting for pretty much the same thing and I am definitely invested in the journey! It's not necessarily an easy journey of course their are challenges and roadblocks along the way!
Each of the books in this series have had a cliffhanger at the end that made me immediately want to pick up the next book! So I am so glad all of the books are out now and I plan on finishing up this series in the next few days!

5 stars for Battleathon!
This month I am participating in Battleathon which is basically a month of reading 5 star predictions!
I also read this book as part of The Tortured Readers Bookclub July pick! The discord for this book was kind of quiet BUT I literally read this book in 3 sittings! For me personally I enjoyed this book a little bit more than A Curse this Cruel and Lovely! With this being book 2 I kind of knew what to expect from this second book. My expectations weren't set quite so high and I knew this was just going to be a fun romantasy read.
This is kind of an adventure read. The characters go on some quests to find different things that they are looking for. They are trying to figure out where they stand within their world. It is a found family adventure and I really enjoyed myself and I can't wait to start book 3 with the way this book ended!
I know this isn't much of it review but honestly I don't feel like going crazy with details / spoilers for this one. If you made it this far just know I had a great time with this book!

I really enjoyed this novella! I didn't really love Powerless when I read it in February. I liked the characters and primes but I honestly felt like that book was a mix of books that have already been written and loved...BUT we are not here for a review of Powerless...
This book held its own! I really loved learning about Adena and I think everyone deserves a love story. This book was a fast burn but I loved almost every second! I loved being back in the slumbs and seeing how the characters support each other and survive.
I am also really intrigued by the love interest Mac and I hope to see him in future books in the series if I decide to continue with the series! I really like him and I think he has potential to be a very important character!
I really hope that Adena is still alive...(I don't think she is but I can hope) I think her life got cut way too short and I thought that she had potential to be really essential to this series.
I really enjoyed this love story and I was really rooting for them despite already knowing the outcome of powerless...I would have loved a full series with these characters I would have ate this up as a spin off series...but it is what it is...

This series has everything I want in a Fantasy Romance! I literally just finished this book and I cannot contain my emotions! I cannot wait to move on to Heat of the Everflame and continue this series! This is fast becoming a favorite series and I am so glad I decided to listen to booktube and pick this series up!
This book was so fun! The reader really follows the main character Diem into a world she is just thrown into at the end of Spark of the Everflame and you follow her on a journey of determination to prove herself in a world completely different then where she thought she belonged!
As the reader we are learning right along with Diem who to trust! No one is innocent!
I ate this book up! It was so good! <Spoiler> We really get to know the Decended in this book. Her so called mortal friends are not to be trusted BUT are the members of her new "family" just after her crown?! Who can she really trust! All of Diem's decisions are put to the test!
What is her mothers role in all of this? What are Henri's intentions? So many questions and not enough answers! Can't wait for book 3!!

This book has been recommended by so many of the booktubers I follow I can't just give the credit to one person! I LOVED this book! I thought this was a great start to a series I think is going to be a new favorite! I finished this book a week ago and literally just finished Glow of the Everflame so I don't want to put any spoilers by accident!
I really enjoyed Spark when I read it last week as my last book for Amazing Readathon. I honestly am honestly thinking of bumping up my rating I love these first 2 books so much! This first book was a set up book. The reader is still getting to know the different characters and their motives. The world building is explored more in Glow but in Spark you think you know some characters intentions and then tables turn! I loved all the twists and turns, nothing is as it seems in Book 1!

This book has been mentioned in many Booktube videos of creators that I follow! It is also one of this months picks for The Tortured Readers Bookclub hosted by RainyblueReads and Katy at iwouldratherbereading. I am so glad I was able to get this book to fit for a prompt for The Amazing Readathon Hosted by Bri from fourpawsandabook!
I have been sick for about 2 weeks so this book has taken me longer than I originally hoped to get through. But this was a fun popcorn read! I wish there had been a little bit more world building and explanations at times. I feel like the last half of this book everything happened one thing after another! I had alot of questions and I felt like they kept building throughout the last half of the book!
I thought this book was a fun time and I am excited to pick up the second book and continue the series in July with the bookclub! I don't think this book was life changing BUT I had a great time with it!

I highly recommend the audiobook for this one! I tried reading it physically but once I got the audiobook I was hooked! I don't think this story is quite the level of Serpent and Ashes but I did enjoy myself and read it in 3 sittings!
