Did I read the first book in this series? Absolutely not. But this was recommended to me by my reading app and so I read it. I loved this one !

Listen..... This book made me feel like I was fucking crazy. The tone and character dialogue was very much Y/A and fanfiction adjacent (some of my favorite things!) and then it was simultaneously strangely sexual and also sexless??? There's a lot of horny twenty-somethings on this unfortunate boat voyage, and our protagonist has no qualms including the reader on his musings or his "pleasant twitches". The plot was a convoluted murder mystery and the names in the world varied hilariously. Raviender, Ganymedes, Leofric..... Jasper.. Wyatt. I have to admit, I love the breadth!
The middle third of this book is the best thing that I have ever read!!! But you have to read the first and the last third to enjoy it. First third (emotionally gruelling) is exposition and the last third loses itself.
Information heavy in the beginning, overall informative.
