Damn. Karen's chapters were the worst thing I've read all year. And the novel as a whole didn't feel like a demon possession story, but rather a reality tv show about a possession and it didn't work for me start to finish.
The pacing felt off, nothing that happened ever came off as urgent or threatening, and I didn't enjoy all the pop culture references. I also don't understand what happened and usually I find myself thinking about these kind of endings for days, but here I just don't care ...
