such a satisfying conclusion to an epic story. all the political intrigue of the first book and the fast-paced action of the second book were present in the last installment; add it with interesting revelations and emotional pay-offs and you've got a banger of a book.
i could definitely see the trilogy being adapted into a movie or a series, it would be such a dream to see all the characters, creatures, and places come to life.

this plays more like a setup for the next three books and thus feels like a filler most of the time, but i do love the addition of tyson and the how rick riordan fleshed out the major characters in this book, especially with clarisse. excited for their next adventure!

the house of the cerulean sea easily became one of my all-time faves and i understand that the two are different stories but i just can't stop comparing the two. the lighthearted humor was there (i was laughing/chuckling several times) and i get the sentiment but the story isn't as powerful as i expected it to be if that makes sense? also the ending was kind of anti-climactic for me. but overall, the book was good enough; it just pales a bit in comparison with THITCS in terms of emotion.

i liked the book because slasher is my favorite horror movie subgenre and i was amused with all the references to classic slasher films like halloween, a nightmare on elm street, and friday the 13th. i respect that the book was trying to be feminist in a way, but it ended up kind of messy. didn't care much about the twists, and overall just felt that the book could've been scarier or at least suspenseful.

wow...what a story. it's like a mash between a dark fairytale and a body horror film. loved the mystery, although i pretty much predicted the main reveal. i wish they'll adapt this into a mini-series or a movie, the gore would be pretty sick to see.

really liked the story, and i can see why people were raving about it—the novel plays like a korean drama film where the first and second acts set up the characters and their encounters and the entire third act just tugs at your heartstrings. would def recommend!

story was cute! the second half was definitely better, though the small conflict near the end irked me a little bit lol hopefully i’ll get to read dani and eve’s stories soon!

still reeling from the ending. the supposed big reveal near the end wasn’t such a reveal though maybe that’s just me. can’t wait to read more of taylor jenkins reid’s works.
