BRIDE, it was fun to read another novel from Ali Hazelwood. Besides, she is so popular. Her works always caught my attention. When the first time she announced would released werewolf and vampire things, I was excited.  It has been a long time since I read this kind of thing. And, Bride made me remember my childhood was surfing in AO3. A perfectly comeback for an awesome story.

It was started with a young vampire, Misery, who forced to married a werewolf alpha for some kind of politics, theotory things. But, she found out her roommates were gone and related to the werewolf named Lowe, which was supposed to be her husband. They were married, and the conflict began.

Ali Hazelwood represents a lot about werewolf and vampire concepts that we know in Misery and Lowe characters. Misery was kind of independent young vampire, she typically not easy to arranged. And, Lowe, as an alpha, dominant, and controlling.  A slow burn relationship between them was good. I love it, typically a slow burn. Not too much intens contact, but the relationship develops time by time.

"Misery."

The way Lowe called her wife, anytime, every time, so addictive (To be honest, this kind of alpha thing made me laugh sometimes. Like, "omg. I KNOW IT WILL BE HAPPEN." I don't call that bad. I just feel so nostlagic).

"You’re not a problem, Misery. You’re a privilege."

And, a conversation between them so lovely. At least, They were communicated well.

"My job is to protect you, and I failed. It happened under my watch, when I was standing inches away from you."

“There you go.” My cheeks heat up. “A good reason for me not to leave. In fact, you should keep me even closer.”

The conflict is not kind of a new thing, I thought we could find it in another story. But Ali seems to know how to make the taste better. I enjoyed following the story.

Bride is such a bringing back the old concept of fiction thing on the internet from Ali Hazelwood. And, I love it! ♡

WAYWARD is the most anticipated novel that I have wanted to read since December. Seeing people talk about how amazing is this made me have high expectations. But, after I read it, I think three stars were enough.

A depressed novel about a girl who wants to sleep in a year, assumed when she wakes up, she can be better. My year of rest and relaxation has a lot of trigger warning— Cautions for anyone who wants to read this might prepare for the emotional support.

Gosh. I don't know how to talk about this one. I can't hate, either love— But, this book does not belong to me. The main character, a woman, a narrator leads us into her stories of her sadness part of her life. It is felt like reading a diary, complex-realistic moments that shared with us regarding a reason WHY she got down. It is painful, sadness, heartbroken, intense, stronger platonical relationship, and etc that happened to her.

I can't relate in my personal life with the character itself, maybe, that a reason why I can't feel the connection between us. I can'  love this one. But, all the things inside, it is still enjoyable for a people. Especially, someone who is looking for a dark, sartic humor, relatable, objectively life's purpose from first pov— this might be good.

But I can't hate this one. Overall, I still love the naration and a writing style. If I want to re-read again, I would love to. But, not recommend to others since the novel itself is not for a general purpose.

The life of an artist, idol, or famous person's environment will not be far from common problems.  Such as, dating scandals, business relationships impacting the group's career, and so on. And that's what you'll get in ASAP by Axie Oh. I've never read XOXO, even though it's a prequel to the story, you can still read this without having to read XOXO first.

You can't find something new from this novel, an entire problem that probably you already read, watch, or listen it somewhere. The plot isn't special. Rather than talking about the main characters' relationship, I found out it is more like we are following the struggling of female characters' decisions. Nathaniel, as the male character feel appeared only to complete the Rosi's action. Or, it's maybe I already know the story where will going— So, I am not surprised at all? But, the protagonist, Sori, has a lovely appreance.

It's talk about a second chance. And, yes, it is. Not only about Sori and Nathaniel love relationship, but also about the Sori herself for her life.

I wish that I could get more, but this novel is enough! I still love it. It was still good, and I feel much enjoyed reading this. It helped me to bring back myself from the reading slump!

Yours truly leads me into PART OF YOUR WORLD, still in the same universe but different main characters. I think I am starting to love ABBY JIMENEZ's stories. She is perfectly good to make an adult love stories become so lovely to read.

Alexi's life turned upside down, her fiance was cheating on her, her brother choose to married a canadian singer (If I am not wrong) and made him must become a good daughter for their strict and old-style parents. Then, it made her meet Daniel, a country guy who was busy to maintain the family's legacy.

Their relationship grew slowly, it is started from stranger into more deeper, without a label— people used to call it; not string attracted, friendzone, or whatever it called, then it become more complicated day by day. The woman didn't want to in a relationship anymore. But, the man wishes something more. Did they interest each other? Yes.

However, the thing I like most about their relationship is trying to be honest with each other's situations & conditions.  Which means they try to be open with each other & build good communication.  and it closely reflects the relationship communication of two adults.

!! NO MISSCOMMUNICATION TROPE !! A perfect storyline, right? :-3

I quite like Alexis' character, she knows what she wants and she tries not to force the situation by always making it clear to Daniel about his feelings and anything related to himself.  And, that was also done with Daniel.

The plot is carried out quite neatly.  I loved every part of them being in the village, especially the moment where they were in the villa and how they both felt more attached to each other.

This novel might be the best for someone whose type doesn't like the tropes I mentioned above and likes things that are clear.

A Dead romantic becoming a hit, just like the seven year slip, the author made it with a mix of romance and magic realism. A love relationship between human and ghost are not a new thing in our life, we met a lot of stories who has a similar prompt like this. But, what make a dead romantic is different is the soul of the author. Ashley Poston knows how to make the whole story still close with our reality. I must be falling in love with this novel. But, I am not.

Rather than focusing on the developing of romantic sides of the main characters, I am more interest with Florence and her dad relationship. Honestly, I'm confused about where the plot should focus?  Because talking about Ben and Florence's relationship, which should be in the spotlight, I don't think I found that.  In fact, when it was time for Ben to disappear and the situation returned where Florence realized that she liked Ben, I didn't find the point where that love could grow properly. And, in my opinion, the problem that Florence is facing is that for several chapters it keeps repeating itself and there is no significant development, making her character look monotonous.

I wish I could get more from this. But, until the end I still didn't like it even though the ending wasn't bad. It is still acceptable and explained well.

Well, that was unexpected because it became the second book I read from the author, Jesse Q Susanto. This is the first book before. Didn't you see that coming. Like the other series, each book does not connect each other beside the character. And, now, we have met Sharlot & George.

The premises were interesting. Who didn't get curious to know about parents that catfish each kid and lead them into a fake relationship situation? But, for me, it's not like what I expect. It started well. But, from the middle until the end, I got bored. The relationship buidling between the two main characters did not feel connected. Sometimes, I am confused at the moment to realize what just they did and make them interested in each other? It doesn't have to be something big, but in this novel, I still can't find out why that thing can happen?

If I am comparing with didn't see that coming, it might be the author used the same formula, middle clase, chinese background, popular, or etc— and I think that the reason I got bored easily. But, looking at both novels in the same universe, I still try to handle it.

I am annoyed a lot with Sharlot. Not typically, the girl's character will get to give points for me. A convokillers? Yes. And, George, I don't know too much - He's just typically a rich guy like the others, I guess?

For Young Adult, teenager-talk, and an Indonesian background in other perspectives, this novel is still worth it to read. It's must be good humor for some people. But, someone might choose not to finish this. How about you?
