I’ve heard some negative reviews for this book, so I was a little wary. However, I loved it. Caleb and Adam are both interesting characters, and I would love to see them expanded upon further.

Not to my personal taste, but it had its moments. It deals with serious topics, and is a thought-provoking read.

The pacing of this book is a little weird. I find that the ending is rapid, while the beginning is slow. My favourite bit is the middle, though.

This book uses words gorgeously. Felicity spins her words into something genuinely special, and her story of Midnight Gulch is one about family.

Ignoring the fact that this book heavily romanticizes two awful, awful men of Greek mythology, it was compelling and very quotable.

The entire book is from Patroclus’ perspective. We follow Achilles on his journey to becoming the warrior that he is prophesied, all while seeing his more human side.

I admit that I may have been blinded by the flowery prose, but it’s not a flawless work. Achilles worsens as the book moves along, and everyone sucks when compared to Patroclus. I liked Briseis, though.

This book was beautifully written. Monty becomes someone better throughout the course of this story, but remains himself - lovable, a bit dense, and generally wonderful. The main characters are just as vivid as he, and this book was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

This book was very much a rom-com, but a little more shallow than I’d personally like. I didn’t love any of the characters either. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, mlm read, this book is for you.
