The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
very lovely to me that my coworker was reading this and i told her i'd never read it and she immediately pressed me to borrow it in the middle of her current read bc it's one of her favourites. just really nice and human or something
My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh
this hit differently and did admittedly happen to me at points in my life
intense chills at the end, i am now sitting in my workplace on my day off wondering how everyone else around me is just acting normal after i've experienced this book 👍

Who's a Good Boy? by Joseph Fink, Jeffrey Cranor, Jessica Hayworth
this included the script for the investigators, which i went to see 6 or 7 years ago as my first wtnv show - one of my most treasured memories<3
The Buying of Lot 37 by Joseph Fink, Jeffrey Cranor
welcome to night vale is so, so special to me. both its inner and its outer worlds; the story and the characters, but maybe even moreso its cast and crew. i feel like i've grown up with the writers and everyone involved in making the show.
i love these lil collections because i'm reading back over episodes that i haven't listened to since they came out, but i learn so many new things about the making of them and the touring process. it's such a rich, involved piece of art, i feel very privileged to be following it as it's released and to have been doing so for years
can you tell this is my longest-running special interest

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
well, finished this summer's reread of the raven cycle.
it just didn't hit this year! i found myself frustrated by it, constantly tuning out of it. these books used to be so special to me and they always will be in a sense of those-are-my-boys, but i miss the way it felt to me on my last read 2 years ago

Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman
i've been having such a gorgeous time reading these. i love them so much.
this one was sad and stressful ah i just want my boys to be able to watch movies together in their cosy lil rooms
ocd bf? he's just like me fr

Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman
so obsessed with how alice oseman draws multiple characters reading her own books, implying that she exists as an author in the heartstopper universe
Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman
ahh!
the beach scene holds a special place in my heart.I'M YOUR BOYFRIEND! YOU'RE MY BOYFRIEND!
i love the way this does remind me of being gay as a teenager, even if that involves being a lil cringe. a lot of the ways charlie texts are so similar to how i would've at that age.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater
still on my reread of the raven cycle that i've been doing every two years. it's taking me a long time this year because of work and various shenanigans
i'm kinda sad to report that i just don't enjoy them as much this year! i think it's related to having read 2/3 of the dreamer trilogy, which follows these, and just hating them. it feels like it's dampened my love for the original series.
or maybe it's just this one. dream thieves was always my favourite because it's so ronan-centric (which i know makes it odd that i hate the dreamer trilogy)
i have such a crazy love for the dynamic between the group, and for certain little details in these books, but it feels like there's so much left unexplored...? it's easy to forget what's going on.
also i'm just always begging and pleading for more noah content. babyboy supreme
