Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm always very happy about an ARC and being able to give it a review! <3
The book starts off super exciting and I couldn't put it down.
If you like an unreliable character who you don't fully trust, then this is the right book for you. You could also read Claire's diary entries - but I don't know if they were necessary at all..
Unfortunately, it was clear to me pretty early on in which direction it was going.. but I'd hoped that there would be a really good twist at the end.. The ending wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but I was just hoping for something completely different/bigger. The ending was too simple.. too boring.
I still had a good time, I LOVED the writing style and would definitely still recommend the book at any time!

This book was pretty unusual but still super exciting and creepy. I love it when pictures are worked into books... it gives the whole story an even scarier vibe.
The writing style was good and well translated.
The story is told in four parts and each of them include pictures which helps you unravel the mystery. I loved it to read and figure out myself what was going on. I really liked the first story! And all the little stories come together in the end - well done! Very complex an clever.
So if you liked hidden pictures by Jason Rekulak then here you go!

Finally a story with an unreliable MALE character. Usually you only read from a woman's point of view...*smh* So I think it's great that Alice Feeney chose a male character! I think we've all had enough of a "insane" female character...
Of course you notice a few things in the book that make you wonder how it all fits together and at the end everything is explained well. It's not really a page-turner for me and I would have preferred a bigger shocker at the end, but I still had a really good time reading the book and I kept thinking about it whenever I put the book down.
A really great and exciting story that unfortunately also shows a little bit of the reality of woman.
