one of the most fantastical sci-fi explorations of the fanaticism embedded in politics/religion, however it's not the most well-written book (but I believe the translation itself lacks depth and did not do the original writing any justice). the author is not necessarily critical of Mao's communism, rather the fanatic waves of political passion that make sweeping statements about people/theories to serve a cause. this book was also so funny in its historical/metaphorical depictions of Einstein and his theories.
