TLDR: If you like Cali Melle's other stuff, this might work for you.
It was fine. It just didn't speak to me I guess. I didn't really get attached to the characters. I had the same issue with previous books for Cali's. I think her stories are just not my style which is fine. Why choose MFM romance that takes place at Christmas time. It is a novella. Very quick read.

TLDR: Dark, gay romance. This book is so problematic and I loved it.
I love this entire series. They aren't deep end of the pool as far as dark romance goes but they are highly problematic: full of red flags and dubious consent. And I just can't get enough. I don't know what it is about these stories but I am always invested in the couple and wanting them to get their happy every after despite the huge issues in the relationships. Good times will be had by all if you suspend disbelief a bit. Don't think about it too hard and just enjoy.

TLDR: I was in love with Paul 37% of the way into this book. Just read it.
This book was fantastic. Two sweet golden retriever who have been hurt in the past find each other and make each other happy. It is quite possibly the sweetest relationship I have read all year. Truly fantastic. This book is just a big warm big. Except the beginning where we learn about our characters' traumatic back stories. And trust me they are traumatic. 100% worth the read. I highly recommend it!

TLDR: This is a really long Hallmark movie.
I am fairly certain that this book was supposed to be a Hallmark movie with more representation. And it absolutely achieves that. This is a closed door romance about a Christmas tree farm so it's pretty wholesome. It also has some complex characters that are dealing with different issues like alcoholism. I think the book does a good job of representation and addressing mental health. Overall I enjoyed it but it was a bit of a slog a few times. It just felt a bit like a run-on sentence at a few points. There are so many developed characters in this book that it almost feels like an ensemble and I will absolutely read the books about those characters.

TLDR: Best book in the series. All of the emotions happen in the last 10% of the book.
This book has a lot of things that are not my favorite. For literally 90% of the book, I thought this is good and the things that bother me about it aren't enough to overcome the good. It's fine. And then in the last 10% of the book... It almost made me write this book four stars. There is a lot of insta love and hot people dating hot people in this book. The relationship for me isn't founded in anything other than we find each other sexy. Which is in a relationship. I guess that's how relationships start a lot of the time but it's not sustainable. So I have a hard time investing in book relationships that have nothing but physical attraction. But now I know some people will say but they had more than that and here's why. Sure that's your opinion view and this is mine. I don't want to give anything away here but the love in the last 10% of this book *chef's kiss*. Absolutely beautiful ending that stuffed a whole book's worth of emotion into the last 10%.

TLDR: Could their names just be different please.
Loved the concept of this book. I'm a sucker for grumpy sunshine. I love a good single dad book. And you get two for one in this book. Two single dads. This should be right up my alley. And it was. I liked the storyline. I liked the characters. But I couldn't keep them straight. Their names are weird and too similar and at the start of every chapter I'd have to remind myself who this is and then sometimes I confuse myself halfway through a chapter. It just took me out of the book which was a real bummer. Especially since one of our dads is a salt of the Earth lumberjack bedroom Dom with a dirty mouth and what's not to love about that! Really wish I could have followed the story better!

TLDR: Highly enjoyable polyamorous read. This series is not complete until April 2024.
I enjoyed this book. I like the dynamics. I like the different characters. The writing's good but honestly I'd say that about just about anything. I'm not real picky. There is a lot of sexual identity representation and exploration in this book. I enjoy it but it is quite obvious what's happening. Not that I'm mad about it. I love a good polyamorous dynamic so this was definitely up my alley. I was quite angry that I thought the series was complete and it isn't. Now I have to wait for the sequel until next April. I will absolutely be reading the next book. I'm excited to see where our characters' lives go next.
P.S. Seth is a loveable teddy bear and I love that he is already imagining their lives together with a dog and summer camping trips. You are so cute please never change.

TLDR: Best self help book ever written.
This book offers everything a lot of self-help books lack. It has the science behind the advice, memorable examples, and it has actionable advice. The thing I hate most about self-help books is that a lot of them can be summed up by a Nike commercial, aka "just do it". If I felt as though I could " just do it ", I wouldn't be reading your book. Having simple, actionable advice is incredibly valuable. Anytime I want to change something in my life I reread this book. I have made one time easy changes to my life and I've established new habits through advice from this book.
P.S. James Clear also has a weekly newsletter that I enjoy reading.

TLDR: This is erotica. Really good erotica.
I listened to this book. Audio narration by Jenny Nordbak was good but did take me a minute to get used to. The story was 4 hours long and almost entirely sex. This is a polyamorous story with 2 gents and 1 gal (MMF). If you're looking for a hot, sex time, this is the book for you. I personally really enjoyed it.

TLDR: This book puts the most holiday in a holiday romance (at least as far as I've read).
This is a gay holiday romance. Both of our male characters are on the older side for a romance novel. Which I honestly loved. Nice variety. Don't want to keep reading about these 20-year-olds all the time. This book had the most holiday focused activities and events etc. I feel that it had the most holiday of any of the holiday romances that I have read recently. It's grumpy sunshine which I'm always a sucker for. And it has an element of accepting yourself for who you are and accepting that somebody else could love those things about you that you think aren't attractive. And I was super here for this one I enjoyed the relationship dynamic and the storyline in general was sweet. There were a couple of choked up moments and there were lots of giggly moments. It was good I would definitely add it to your holiday TBR.
