TLDR: Super spicy polyamorous fun times

This novella was hot, surface of the sun hot. It has insta-love but that is kind of required in a novella so while that normally drives me nuts I was able to roll with it for this one. This book is 2 gents who have been in an open relationship for years enjoying a lady together. That's it. That's the whole book. And it's really sexy. Also well written probably. I don't know I don't pay attention to those things if I am enjoying the story and not did I enjoy this story. This is the first thing I have read by Kayla Grosse and I will be checking out more of her work.

TLDR: If you like Cali Melle's other stuff, this might work for you.

It was fine. It just didn't speak to me I guess. I didn't really get attached to the characters. I had the same issue with previous books for Cali's. I think her stories are just not my style which is fine. Why choose MFM romance that takes place at Christmas time. It is a novella. Very quick read.

TLDR: Dark, gay romance. This book is so problematic and I loved it.

I love this entire series. They aren't deep end of the pool as far as dark romance goes but they are highly problematic: full of red flags and dubious consent. And I just can't get enough. I don't know what it is about these stories but I am always invested in the couple and wanting them to get their happy every after despite the huge issues in the relationships. Good times will be had by all if you suspend disbelief a bit. Don't think about it too hard and just enjoy.

TLDR: I was in love with Paul 37% of the way into this book. Just read it.

This book was fantastic. Two sweet golden retriever who have been hurt in the past find each other and make each other happy. It is quite possibly the sweetest relationship I have read all year. Truly fantastic. This book is just a big warm big. Except the beginning where we learn about our characters' traumatic back stories. And trust me they are traumatic. 100% worth the read. I highly recommend it!

TLDR: This is a really long Hallmark movie.

I am fairly certain that this book was supposed to be a Hallmark movie with more representation. And it absolutely achieves that. This is a closed door romance about a Christmas tree farm so it's pretty wholesome. It also has some complex characters that are dealing with different issues like alcoholism. I think the book does a good job of representation and addressing mental health. Overall I enjoyed it but it was a bit of a slog a few times. It just felt a bit like a run-on sentence at a few points. There are so many developed characters in this book that it almost feels like an ensemble and I will absolutely read the books about those characters.
