TLDR: This is the best book in a series of great books. Read all 4. It's worth it. I promise.

Even if you don't normally read gay or paranormal or procedural drama, I still think you should give these books a shot.

I love this series. And this book is my favorite in the series. It is so good! There is an engaging mystery which is great. But I love love love love the love in this book. Once again Cooper and Oliver are working through what making a relationship work looks like and it's wonderful. It's not always easy but I love that realistic representation of a relationship. This isn't love at first sight and everything works out perfectly and they bend over backwards to give each other the world. It's two people figuring out how to make their wants and needs work for each other. And all of this is brought to us by Charlie Adhara's delightful writing. She has one liners for days and poignant deep perspective on her character's experiences and hardships. I just can't recommend her ready enough. I really can't.

MFC is sassy and delightful. Pixy sidekick is hilarious and inappropriate. Enjoy!

TLDR: Easy world building with a sweet story.

Book is cute. Mildly quirky. And the thing that I loved about it most is that this author has that effortless world building feel. You don't have to think too hard and yet you don't feel like you're getting a lecture in order to understand where you are (or heaven forbid needing to reference an appendix, see Dune). You jump right in you accept what's happening for what it is and yet you still can keep up with the world. I think that's such an incredible talent and I love it. While this story isn't exactly my speed, it was nice and it was sweet.

TLDR: If you like slow paced, cozy, and magic, read this.

This is a good book. The world is interesting. The conflict is decent enough. Although this book is trying for an enemies to lovers and I'm not sure that I bought into that. They definitely had conflict in their past but enemies feels like a strong word. For some reason, that I can't put my finger on, this book was a little slow paced for me. I've never quite been able to identify what it is about a book that makes me think it's fast paced but this one didn't have it. But if you like cozy and you like magic read this book.

TLDR: Gay and kinky.

Polyamorous, gay, werewolves. Need I say more? Honestly I enjoyed this ride. I loved the polyamorous relationships and the way that the additions to the relationship were made. While there should have been more communication there wasn't as little as you often see in romance novels and I appreciated that. It just all felt very organic and magical and worked. But also had a lot of deep end kink and is not for the kink adverse.

TLDR: Gay and kinky.

While I did not enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed Alpha Bait, this still had me engaged and invested in the relationships. The characters' motivations were believable. And I enjoyed the book. I will once again remind everyone that these books are highly kinky and should not be read by the kink adverse.
