The amount of pain in this book is indescribable. It was refreshing to read about the actual consequences of the bomb instead of the soulless arguments about how it was “necessary” and “justified” (ugh).

This book goes beyond ratings, describing one decision that had and continues to impact the whole world. This will always be considered unforgivable in my heart.

Read this book for my analytical chemistry class, and oh boy how I was surprised by it! I did not expect it to be such an immersive and captivating read.

The scientific explanations were brief and understandable to laypeople but nonetheless accurate, which I greatly appreciated. Not a single word was wasted in this book. It was concise, informative, and, more importantly, hopeful. It showed that, after all, bad guys do (somewhat) get what they deserve.

5/5, 10/10, and more. Haven’t had a 5-star book experience in a long time.

Rarely do I DNF a book, but I realized I had not a drop of joy left reading this one. The writing is exquisite and quite beautiful, but the plot drags on for so long. I know the myth, so the story was predictable. I was expecting something that would keep me engaged; instead, I got whining from different characters that took up PAGES and never stopped. Overall, the book dragged on, and I just wanted to put myself out of this misery.
