Idol w ogniu by Rin Usami, Sara Manasterska
a weird, weird book with no real plot and lots of clumsy metaphors; maybe japanese literature just isn't for me
The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
(reread)
This is actually a rare case of me rereading a book that I had complicated feelings about.
First of all I was definitely a bit too young the first time around and it was also the first ever book I read in English and overall I wasn't too thrilled about it? I mean, I devoured the series, I was obsessed for exactly for a week and then it just went away?
This time I definitely enjoyed it a lot more. Neil is such an engaging character!!! That being said I don't get exy like at all rip. All in all, I still don't know how to rate it, so for now I won't

Ordinary Monsters by J.M. Miro
3.5
I think the book was slightly too long and I think it could use more plot twists. It's a little bit like a mix of the night circus and Mrs peregrine so if you like these books, this should be right up your alley
Cmentarz osobliwości by Paulina Hendel

Ogółem rzecz biorąc podobało mi się, ale tak do około 200 strony w sumie za dużo się nie dzieje. Taka książka trochę do poduszki w której wszystko cudem się rozwiązuje itd
Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat
3.5
I have this thing where I don't like stories that include some kind of rebirth so there is that; but also Will and James have delicious potential so I might hop in onto the 2nd book as well
The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons
I'm really conflicted on this book; on one hand I did enjoy it, but on the other, I only fully grasped the world building at like 40%; there's just so much information you get and not even the Glossary is much help, if I'm being honest.
Also, the whole business of switching souls was really confusing
