The ending felt extremely rushed. It felt like there was 245 pages of buildup and then 5 of ending which was very abrupt. The characters are certainly the kind of people you love to hate, and it was gripping enough that I wanted to see how it ended, but I'm left with a lot of unanswered questions regarding a lot of their motives

The book is told largely in reverse which is a fun storytelling trick but does make it hard to follow at times. The twists are unexpected, and the way the story unfurls keeps you guessing.

Female main character shares my (trans male) name. Hit the dysphoria weird.

It was easy enough to finish in one day but not so easy that it was boring. The story moved at a decent pace, and switching character perspective each chapter helped to keep things fresh and maintain the mystery. If I had been thinking harder I may have figured out the twists but I was glad to be surprised!!

challenging slow-paced
A complete history of well...the rise and subsequent fall of the Third Reich. Fascinating, dark, and true, it is a difficult read but worth it

lighthearted
I read this when I was pregnant with my Kiddo, in 2011. I remember it being a fun, light read, before Jenny McCarthy turned out to be...well, Jenny McCarthy.

this one got too real for me to finish - started hitting home in ways I found uncomfortable. I wish i could remember exactly why, but there's a reason I never picked it up again
