I originally DNFed this at 92% because I truly just didn't care. The main character has no valid reason to be involved in any of this. Everyone is calling her like "you're all I have" HOW?? You don't know that girl.

Because I wanted to be be Investigator Throreaux in Noir Apothecary for Blackooween I decided to finish it because the last book that I was planning to read was boring and I knew that with my busy schedule I probably wouldn't finish it in time.
By the time we get to the end of this book we're told that everyone is a big happy family who looks out for their own and I'm confused because at the beginning of this book the characters either didn't know or hardly talked to each other

I know that MCs in cozies are usually dumb but Bronwyn takes it to a whole new level

This was not bad. It has the typical cozy elements with an amateur sleuth that asks too many questions and loves to put themselves in dangerous situations,

Would recommend if you would enjoy an apothecary setting and water witches

I picked this up just to see what the hype was about and surprise surprise I didn't love it. The only reason I kept going for so long was just curiosity. I don't really like Jordan, Cole is a piece of shit and I knew exactly what would happen there. Pike is probably the character I like the most and that's not saying much,

Enjoyed this. I will say though that I was very surprised by
the reveal of Serapio's father and that it had a happy ending. Because there has been so much death and destruction I genuinely did not expect that

I really disliked the set up for this book and was worried that I would not like it but I'm so glad I kept reading because it was so worth it. The circumstances that lead to Noel and Kanton meeting are straight out of a rom com and this book will give you ALL the Christmas vibes (with the exception of snow because it's Atlanta) Highly recommend if you want a cute feel good Christmas romance

Definitely going to read the next one but why did B.B. do us like that?

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series but it's been almost a year since I read book 2. It also feels like its stating to shift to focusing on the next generation and I don't want that
