This is a great bedtime story and great story for talking about feelings with little ones. It's nice to see a parent apologizing to their child. It shows that adults make mistakes too and aren't above apologizing for it.
informative

It was nice to see the different generations and focus on nature. This would be great for teaching young ones about how we can positively impact nature.
lighthearted

This was super sweet and the similes were very creative.
funny lighthearted

I could relate to this so much as someone who grew up in the library and couldn't stop talking despite not having any volume control. This would be a really fun readaloud for preschool up to 1st grade.
funny lighthearted

With the title, I thought this was going to go into the stereotypes of dads being terrible at dressing their kids but I was very pleasantly surprised.
adventurous funny lighthearted

This was so adorable! The illustrations and writing worked together really well to build the story.
emotional hopeful

The author and illustrator capture grief in such an honest, compelling way. It's perfect for kids experiencing loss or empathizing with those who have.
lighthearted

This one took me by surprise but I love the way it didn't fall into "manly" stereotypes.  Seeing the father and son with durags on made me so happy.
funny

I love the use of rhythm, it's perfect for a readaloud.
