I liked this book but didn’t necessarily love it. The tension between the couple was really good at the beginning and the conflict was very realistic but it did get repetitive, especially in the third act. This isn’t a steamy read, it’s super slow burn and the one major scene is basically fade to black. I’d honestly recommend it to people who like YA romance but would like adult characters and adult conflict.
lighthearted

This was a fun, slice of life type comic. The fact that it takes place freshman year of college serves really well for the shenanigans that ensue.

Another fun, high stakes adventure. I definitely plan on continuing with this series. It’s fast paced, filled with humor, and the cases keep you guessing.

This was such a fun read. It was fast paced and the stakes ended up being a lot higher than I was expecting. There’s also a sapphic MC. Highly recommend!

This was such an interesting story. It brings up a lot of questions and few answers and I think there’s beauty in the way these things are explored.

This was so sweet! I saw it on my library’s digital collection and decided to check it out, then I flew through it. This was filled with sweet comics that deal with mental health and self worth. Exactly what I needed for finals season.

Thank you to everyone who’s been recommending this because it’s exactly what I needed right now. I love a good mix between plot and spice and Ms. Sharma truly delivered. The Aunties were hilarious! I loved the family and friend dynamics. They were fleshed out in a way that added to the story without stealing the show from our main love interests. And y’all, the SPICE! Truly jaw dropping.
hopeful informative

This was so good! I’ve had this book on my mind for a while and now seemed as good a time as any to read it (especially as a Floridian). I ended up finishing this in a single day, which is such a rarity for me with memoirs. It was so moving and the audiobook is narrated by the author so I’d highly recommend the listening experience.
dark tense slow-paced

I read this for my AI class and wasn't a fan. The concept seemed interesting enough but I didn't like the execution of it. I usually love unlikeable main characters, but Jack was pretty annoying at times, especially with how self-righteous she is. The entire "slave" storyline with Threezed was just a mess. It was used as a joke/comic relief for a lot of the novel and I hate that. Why are so many white sci-fi authors obsessed with slave narratives?

I will say that I liked the bot characters more than the humans ones. Paladin was really interesting and any scene Med was in become a lot more bearable.

I read this for my AI class and really enjoyed it. It was so interesting to see Klara’s perspective and her characterization was done really well. I felt like all the characters were very distinct and the story was very easy to follow.
