All I have to say is πππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ
the first half of the book was iffy for me but glad I kept reading! Very easy and quick read. Was it the best book Iβve ever read? Not really lol. Still enjoyed it and the story of Iris and Rowan. Not much to say about it.
This book was so insanely beautiful (Emphasis on the insane)!!!!!!!!!!! K.M served and I ATEEEE that sh*t up. This book was so multilayered I couldnβt believe what was happening. Mental rehabilitation center β Murder mystery β Thriller/Suspense β Dark romance β Sacrifice β The list goes on!!!! My only beef was how short it was I purged this book in less than 24 hours π
This book is about individuals who have mental illness and are rehab centers for a reason. Please please please read the trigger warnings if you are sensitive to anything related :)
2.5 π this book took me way too long to finish. What a freaking struggle it was to get through it. Iβm going to really try and to not bash this books because I love Ali but YIKES. Donβt get me wrong I love vampires & werewolves but this book was such a drag. Absolutely nothing happened till probably the last 1/4 of the book. I felt so disconnected from the characters, I literally kept forgetting who Lowe was and heβs the MMC???? It also was more cringe to me than cute but whatever. Personally not my fave but still love Ali.
Book club read! Yellowstone meets 50 shades of grey is the perfect way to describe this book. Sovereign gave me BIG rip vibes (uhmmmm yummmmmy yummmy). Had a great story line with a couple twists. Only reason I didnβt rate it any higher was it was a little TOOO bdsm for meβ¦ Iβm all about some weird k*nky play but I kinda draw the line with degrading your womanβ¦ lmao. Not for me!
honestly having a really hard time rating this book. I might come back once Iβve digested it and will re-rate it (if thatβs a word). Itβs an extremely slow build book. I understand why it was written that way though. Itβs about a young girl who makes a deal with the devil and wants a free life. So this book is the course of her life over 300+ yearsβ¦ would be hard to fit that all in a smaller book but only finished this book to finish it.
Also some how this book is a love story??? But a very complicated and strange love story??? I may also be in love with the Devil himself and idk how I feel about it????????
Itβs about 80% of nothingness, a couple chapters of OH SH*T, and then a couple more chapters of a happy ending wrapped up in a happy bow. SJM is the queen of multi universe. I love the crossovers. If was a bit bland for me compared to the other CC and felt pretty disconnected from the characters. Still a great read but not my fav from her.
Love a good fake dating situationship and only one bed scene but there is nothing I hate more than MISCOMMUNICATION!!! Holy balls. I seriously almost DNFβd this book because it dragged and dragged with so much miscommunication I wanted to throw up. I mean there is a happy ending but still!!!! Briana was annoying the living crap out of me because Jacob deserves the world and if she didnβt want him I wouldβve volunteered as tribute π π€πΌ
One thing I absolutely adored about this book was that Abby gave the MMC extreme social anxiety. Normally I feel like itβs always the FMC so I really appreciated it and it hit close to come π«ΆπΌ
Okay but the way I fell HEAD OVER HEELS for Zanders ππππ he is everything I want and more in a book boyfriend!!!! This book is so multi layered and I love it. Great plot. Guy falls first. Praising π. And we also love a guy who fights for what he loves!!! Ugh I wish I could read it again. Rescue dogs? Tears. Therapy? Preach. The banter!!! Cmon!!
I love this series so much!!!!!!!!!!! It is exactly everything I need in a grumpy sunshine, you touch her and you die, possessive book boyfriend hahahahaha. The only reason I didnβt rate it a 5 was because the first 50% of the book dragged (and by drag I mean no sβ¬%y scenes). The plot was still great and kept you interested. Once the heat started, ANA brought it!
I also love these series because yes it is a trilogy but if needed you could totally read them as stand alones. Recommended if you read them in order though!
