Being a big mood reading, idk if I was in the mood for a Christmas rom com lol. I mean the town name was Merry for Christ sake 😂 If you’re in the mood for a Christmas rom come with a single dad who starts out as enemies then lead to lovers then this is for you! The plot was a little bland for me but still very readable. 

Can we also talk about the spice scenes??? I mean!! I do not recommend reading before bedtime bc you will have VERY vivid dreams lmmaooo

Ummmmm nobody wanted to warn me about the ending of this book????? What the actual EFFFF!!!!! I am completely mindf*cked and I have a hole in my soul!!!!!!! Wtf!!!!!! SJM is the absolute queen at world building yall. I can’t even.

I will say this book dragged a ton for me. It was better than the first book because it had more action and WAY less info dump. I feel like 1/3 couldve been cut. It was a bit repetitive.

Excuse me while I go sit in a dark bedroom till the next book comes out :’)

I feel so empty!!!!!!!!!! Why does every author feel the need to rip our heart out, stomp on it and then burn it during the last 100 pages of every book. Pain!!! What a wild ride… the character development in this for every character was beautiful. Action packed to the RIM. Sexy af. Beautifully written to where I literally felt like I was a cadet in Basgiath. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 was because I guessed the ending and I felt like something? was missing.

Now excuse me while I slip into a void of nothingness till the next book comes out 🥲

Okay okayyyyy it was good. It was a quick read to get some books finished. I do feel like the series could’ve been 3 books and it would’ve been fine. It did have a great plot and romance portion but I feel like I was expecting SO much going into this I was pretty let down… needed more spice. needed more dark romance. But maybe it’s just me lol. I had a hard time connecting with the clients but enjoyed it overall.

This dualogy stole my heart!!!!! The way Lexi literally SUCKS you in on the first page. Her writing is impeccable. This whole book I was literally SWOOOOOONING. Sure it had a love triangle but it was so freaking interesting to see how it played out. I am so happy how this book ended. I wish there was more 😭 I have a giant whole in my heart.

For all you haters that are saying this is a rip off of acotar, what’re yall smoking?????

Holy shitake mushrooms. I loved this book so much. From the beginning, Lexi sucks you in! The whole book literally had me on the edge of my seat waiting… I knew some shady shit was going to happen but omg!!!!! I am literally running to the library to get the next book.

This story is giving Harry Potter, ACOTAR and Cinderella all in one book 😭 obsessed.

Brilliant!! Love the spooky old time vibes this book gives you. Always waiting for the next thing to happen 👀 Magic. Secrets. Royal families. Fake courting. You touch her and I’ll kill you vibes!! The ending has me literally begging for more.

The only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 was Rachel’s writing was a little toooooooo descriptive for me. I found my self skimming over all the descriptive paragraphs… lol. I also felt like the first 2/3 of the book I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen. Glad I kept waiting!

Okay but wait I loved this book 😂 Only read it for my book club this month… was a little hesitant going into it but by the end I was ready to fall in love with an ogre. Lmao!!!!!!!! I will say the play on the names from shrek had me LOLing. It was such a fun and quick read that had a tonnnnn and tonnnn of spice but still had a decent plot. The plot twist? Shooketh. Never saw it coming. 

It was my first time reading a kindle novella & can’t wait to read more!!!!
