Brynne Weaver is a genius!!!!!! The way she made me fall in love with two serial killers is a bit alarming. Her writing was so captivating. This book had everything you need & want. Guy falls first. Plot twists you did NOT see coming. Spice. Spice. Spice!!! The way I was quite literally squealing, jaw dropping and palming my face by the end…lol Also a perfect set up into the next book. What a perfect read to get into the Halloween mood.
The only reason I did not rate it a 5 is I personally felt like it dragged on the first like 200 pages but definitely still keeps you entertained.
Perfect little rom com what will have you throwing up by the end it’s so cute lololol. A great book to get you in the mood for ~spooky szn~ as it’s about a ghost and takes place mainly at a funeral home!!
I did feel like it dragged on towards the end. Also, I totally guessed the ending WAY early in the beginning but I ain’t mad.
What a wild ride!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe how good this book was. Absolutely mind blowing. Perfectly written. Strong heroine. Character development. War. Dragons. Grumpy guy falls first!!!!!!!! Shadow daddy. Plot twist upon plot twist. I mean the list goes on. Let’s not even get started on the ending. Many tears were shed.
I am SWEATING!!!!!! Not gunna lie, the first 100 pages of this book was like pulling teeth. Adrienne’s writing was a little toooo wordy for me. I like details but good god lol. I loved the spooky setting of this one. It has everything you need! Murder, mystery, romance, small town, and even a little bit of magic 🤪 the ending of this book had me HOOKED.
This book was the CUTEST!!!!!!! It was a perfect easy read to get me into the fall mood. Erin’s writing was incredibly immersive, I literally felt like I was right there. A lil bit of spice is always an added bonus. Can I just live in Graves Glen plz???
If you’re style of reading is a perfect love story with absolutely no plot twists then this is for you. I kept waiting for a major plot twist to happen but maybe I’m just the drama. I still fell in love with the characters, even though this book was based around one of my least favorite tropes. Still a great easy read!
Okay. Okay. Okay. The first 100-200 pages were EXTREMELY hard for me to get through… there was a point that I really didn’t think I could keep going. There was SO much world building that my brain physically hurt. Soooo I decided to skip ahead and I am SO GLAD I did! Holy cow. The last 200 pages of this book had me in an absolute chokehold. I guess it wouldn’t be a SJM book if she didn’t shatter my world at the end of her books.
So so so in love with the character development in this. The plot twists?! Never saw them coming. There was moments I was literally screaming, laughing, and crying at the pages. Overall SJM does it again!!
Recently just finished the show and found out it was based on a book, so you know I had to read it. The book is COMPLETELY different than the show… but not in a bad way? It’s just so different it’s weird. Stephen and Lucy’s relationship is so toxic but yet intoxicating. By the end of the book you hate Stephen with all your fu€#ing guts because he is the WORST!!!!! I think this book hit a little too close to home because Lucy is recovering from some trauma, goes to college and falls in love with the typical asshole. So she tries and tries and tries to fix him and herself. There are some tigger warnings in here that as a female in love with a guy we all can relate too… anorexia, lying about it from your friends, and self destruction. I think I loved this book so much because it was extremely relatable and I’m so relieved the way it ended <3
Overall a decent read. Not sure I get the hype for it though. We love a grumpy guy who falls but why do you have to be such an ass???? Lol. I think there’s nothing I hate more than the “I don’t deserve her, she’s too good for me” act. Stfu and be a man. Had a great plot with unpredictable twists. The spice was THERE!!! I just feel like the ending was very hallmark and wrapped up in a big bow.
