For everyone giving this book hate and bad reviews because it was from Casteels POV. Are you even a From Blood & Ash fan????????? You would have to be an absolute HATER to not enjoy his POV. The way Jennifer approaches the retelling was absolutely genius!! Sure it was the same story but felt like I was reading a whole new storyline. We love daddy Cas!!!

The ending was forsure whack šŸ˜‚ as I have so many freaking questions!!!!!!!

4.25 stars! Iā€™m so happy I read this book!!! It sat on my shelf for awhile because I was unsure what to expect but omg! Bonnieā€™s writing is nothing like Iā€™ve ever read before. Sometimes it was a tad bit confusing because she jumps around a lot but I loved her approach. Can we also talk about how she gave the dog a voice!!! I mean!!! The only reason I rated down a bit was because there was a ton of scientific talk (obviously) and my poor little brain didnā€™t quite understand sometimesā€¦ haha There weā€™re many many twists and turns that I didnā€™t see coming and was wrapped up beautifully in the end. Loved it!

This book is the definition of a beautiful story about womanā€™s challenges in being taken seriously. Specially back in the 50ā€™s. I could only imagine. Should I become a scientist now?

This book was veryā€¦ uneventful. The hole time I kept waiting for something more to happen. Hades & Persephone spicy retelling is normally my favorite but this one was booooooring. I needed more spicy scenes. Even the one really big spicy scene wasnā€™t even that spicy. The plot was there but had absolutely zero resolve and felt like it just wrapped up to wrap up. Idk wasnā€™t my fav but still read it.

Also lowkey felt like a rip off of 50 shades. There were a lot of similarities šŸ˜…

ā€œShe knows that kings tend to become heroā€™s to future generations. Songs about them are sung, and their cruel deeds are turned into sunlight. As for queens, they are either hated or forgotten. ā€œ

No but the way I was absolutely obsessed with this book šŸ˜ I was on the edge of my seat from cover to cover!!!! Costanzaā€™s writing is absolutely brilliant. Itā€™s very blunt? But I was so in love with the way she told the story. Iā€™ve recently just started getting into Greek mythology so it was really refreshing to see some familiar names in here but loved loved loved the retelling of this story.

This is the perfect example of a strong and powerful heroine!! Talk about woman empowerment yā€™all. I want to be Clytemnestra when I grow upā€¦ lol. I loved this book so much.

We love a grumpy sunshine moment where the guy falls first!! But we also hate miscommunication. Towards the end of the book Olive was starting to annoy the crap out of me with her ā€œI canā€™t tell him, this is for the best.ā€ Girl bye. Pour your little heart out. No but really this whole book I was waiting for something more to happen. the story just kept dragging on. I mean there was only one spicy scene and it was 2/3 of the way in. Not my favorite Hazelwood read.

This one was more 3.5 stars. Donā€™t get me wrong it was an emotional book and a great summertime read. I could picture myself sitting at Malloryā€™s cottage on Nantucket! My beef with this book is, 1. I hate when books are told in third person!!!! 2. No chapters???? Cmon lol 3. We hate a cheating trope and 4. The ending.

There were a lot of aspects that I loved about the book but couldnā€™t look past the handful of things that bothered me. Hey, everyone has their own things šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

the first half of this book I was f*cking ADDICTED. Lachlan had my whole heart and then some!!!! I loved his stalker bad boy vibesā€¦ but who wouldnā€™t? By the time part two of the book rolled around it got pretty predictable and repetitive. I still couldnā€™t put the book down though. I kept waiting for something more to happen? The ending is your typical Netflix romance movie endingā€¦ Iā€™m not mad about it but I just needed more.

he way this book had an absolute chokehold on me!!! I picked it up and could not put it down. Even when I had to go to work I was thinking about Fern and Will. Will stole my heart in a way I was not expecting. There was a moment at the end of the book I was literally SHOOOOK. I was so scared to keep reading because it felt like it was leading up to a different endingā€¦ UGH!!! Iā€™m so sad itā€™s over :( Not sure why this book didnā€™t get the love it should have because it was so effing cute and the perfect rom-com summertime romance we all need.
