“A Little Life” was anything but. Tragedy after tragedy, it was never ending. Jude, such an innocent soul was met with a life that was heavy and riddled with pain.
What the heck was that? There was potential, the story was building and building and then about 80 percent in it turned into a hot mess. I literally laughed at a certain characters demise just based off how unreal it is. The last 15 minutes of monologue I just checked out of. I get there’s going to be some level of “wow factor” in a paranormal “horror” book but WHAT? *face palm*
Solid 4 star read, I’m not much into science fiction but this was thrilling and very fast paced. Loved the way it made me think.
3.5 out of 5. Read to 70 percent then looked up the ending. The world building was great but I was often confused reading with the audiobook. Book felt like it lasted very long and didn’t need to. I was shocked by characters actions a few times but was still very anticlimactic. Loved the romance with two certain characters but a few things were odd. A woman was in power but only to breed another daughter to keep the “nameless one” at bay felt a little tacky.
I enjoyed that towards the end it was twist after twist, didn’t expect some things
3.5/5 felt a little cliche for me to have a female main character of the story to be “damaged”. Would’ve liked a less obvious ending as well.
I love this book, 5/5. Maybe i am gullible but i did not expect the twist at all. Awesome job on connecting everything! I cant say too much without spoiling so ill leave it as this little review. I highly recommend if you like “who done it’s”!
