Even though I had a good time reading this book, I wasn’t a big fan of the miscommunication trope while reading so I didn’t enjoy that part. The hot scenes were great, but I was not in the mood for smut so I skipped a few of them. They were really good tho, I just feel like I need to clarify this lol.
Other than that, I truly liked this book. Davis made me swoon from time to time which is something that doesn’t happen that often for me.
This is told in dual POV, so I loved that.
Check trigger warnings before reading this book tho.

This was a very emotional book, it made me tear up a few times. It has very beautiful quotes. Don't expect romance to be the main focus of the story, although there is, the main point of the book is to go along through Klara's process with her and see how strong and brave she is, because she truly is.
She has gone through a lot and seeing her grow and learn and become a very strong girl, it was amazing.
The rest of the characters are great, very supportive of her.
I give this 5 stars because I think this is a mandatory book to read for anyone, you can learn so much from Klara and her friends and family.
Sometimes life is too hard and too much, but you're going to meet people along the way that make life more bearable and easy. People whose light will guide you back to the bright side.
Truly, you have to read this book. Just be aware of the trigger warnings such as grief, burials, death, cancer, hospitals, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, suicide.

I was told this book had good groveling, but at least for me, it didn’t meet my expectations in that aspect. Overall, the story was interesting and I had fun, but as a whole, the book wasn’t memorable. At least for me. I liked that it was told in Una’s and Killian’s POV.
If you’re looking for something fun, with drama, and you like werewolves, then give this one a try.
I’m still going to read other books by this author.

This was so cute. However, even though I enjoyed the book, I reached a point in the book when I felt a bit bored because nothing really exciting was happening. I wanted lots of drama and angst and there was not much of that in this final book. But I still enjoyed reading about Ruby and James fighting for their love and their dreams. By the end of the book I was so happy for both of them. I also liked reading about Ember’s and Wren’s story. I wish there was a bit more of Alistair’s and Kesh’s love story, but once they figured out their differences, I can totally see why there were no more of Alistair’s POV. The same happened with Lydia. Which I totally get since they all are the secondary characters and the main focus had to be on James and Ruby.
Anyway, I liked the ending, but the way things were solved were a little too convenient for my liking. So even if I am happy with the ending and I’m going to miss these characters, the ending felt rushed, in my opinion.
Other than that, I think this series is very beautiful with a lovely message. I think I would have loved reading this book back when I was a teenager or maybe even when I was in the university because it dealt with the existential crisis we all go through in those years about our future and our life while at the same time trying to discover who we truly are in this scary and big world. This is a love story, but it has more depth than that and I like that, when books give me something more than just entertainment. So if you are a someone in these age range or maybe you are feeling lost, consider giving this book a try, you might find yourself connecting with at least one of these characters.
And even if you are in your late twenties, like me, you can still totally read these books. There were some things that I could still relate to.

I am having so much fun reading these books. Yes, they are predictable, but they are fun. Also, in this second book, we get the chance to read two more POV’S, Lydia’s and Ember’s, so we got the opportunity to read a little bit about their love life. I am truly invested in the love stories of these characters and I just can’t wait to read how everything ends. I just hope it is a happy ending for everyone.

I watched the tv adaption first, I thought it was so good that I decided to read the books. I enjoyed the book as much as the tv show. True, there are things that were changed in the adaptation, but overall the story is the same and main event were there and I just love this story. This book, as with the first season of the show, ends in a cliffhanger so I am totally reading the sequel now!
Even though this is a very cliché story and you can see coming the plot twists, it still feels like a unique book somehow. I was so interested in Ruby and James’s love story.
I love the fact that the book is told in dual POV!
I couldn’t find the English translation of this book, so I read it in Spanish.

It was good, but nothing more. At first I was excited to read about the characters, the world, the plot that was slowly unfolding, but I got bored. It came a moment in which nothing was happening and I lost interested in the book. I cared a bit about Corban, Cywen, Gar and Storm, maybe even Kastell, so they were the reason why I decided to keep on reading even when I didn’t want to.
I am not saying this is a bad book. I just think this was not the type of fantasy book I was really in the mood for. So now that I finished it, I have no idea if I’ll read the rest of the series, at least not for now. However, considering that this is the debut novel of the author, it makes sense that it didn’t feel like a great book. I’ll read another of his series which sounds great because I think the author has grown and learnt a lot since this book.
Overall, the story is intriguing but I lost interest not even halfway through the book and I just didn’t care that much. But I blame this on me because I think I didn’t pick this book at the right time.

Okay, the speed on which I read this book was scary. I started it on Saturday afternoon and by the end of the day I was almost halfway through. I devoured it. I guess that was due to the fact that this second book is told in three different POV's, whereas the first book is told in Elspeth's POV only, which was great, don't get me wrong, but I love it when a book is told in different POV's, it makes me feel more connected to the other characters and the story.
Anyway, this book was great. I saw coming the plot twists, but I wasn't sure how everything was going to be solved, so that was a great surprise to read.
I already felt a lot of affection towards Elspeth, but my love for Ravyn and Elm grew a lot. I also loved Ione too. She was already a bit present in the first book, but in this second one, she was also a main character.
Seriously, even though this series is only two books long, I feel so attached to the characters and world that it's a bit hard to say goodbye to them.
I'm not completely sure if this is a new favorite series, but at least I enjoyed it so much, and I highly recommend it, too.
If you're looking for smut and lots of romance, this series is not it. Even though there were a couple of hot scenes, they were not very descriptive and they were only neccesary for us the readers to understand the love between the characters. I was looking for a series with a romance subplot and these books delivered it.

I really liked this book. The magic system is very interesting. The characters are complex. And as for the world and its secrets, there are still so much things to learn about it. I'm looking forward to reading the next book and where this story is going. I just hope none of my favorite characters die.
This book was what I was in the mood for, a fantasy book with a bit of a romance subplot.
