Did I find the characters likable? No. Did I enjoy the story? Absolutely. I was constantly on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. And then the letter came out and I was left questioning everything. Tbh here’s my conclusion:
Verity did kill Harper but also Jeremy already knew and did attempt to kill her twice. There are just too many things that don’t make sense if Verity were actually a sane person. What happened to Crew’s chin? Why was he so scared to tell Lowen what happened that he actually bit into a knife? If she had enough time to tell Crew to hold his breath why didn’t she say it loud enough for Harper as well? How did she even have time to tell him to hold his breath if it was all so sudden? I also think that Jeremy knew bc it would explain why he seemed so angry with her, Lowen assumed it was bc he thought Verity crashed on purpose but I think it’s bc he knew what she did. It would also explain why he was always listing how Verity staying with them would benefit Crew but never said anything about how HE wants her to stay. Anyways those are my takes on the book I feel like if Lowen really wants to know the truth she just has to ask Amanda if she recommended antagonistic journaling to Verity and if she says yes well then you just murdered an innocent woman.

Worst book I read in the series so far. It was so boring and I didn’t know what the actual plot was😭 it just seemed so pointless they should’ve stuck with two books on farrow and Moffy

I LOVE these two omg. I love how Farrow knows what he wants and there was no bs in this book. They weren’t skating around their feelings for forever and they weren’t in this state of denial and oblivion where they couldn’t tell that the other liked them. Farrow knew he liked Moffy, he knew Moffy liked him, and he confronted it straight up. I also love how much he understands Moffy. Like when we’re reading his pov it’s almost like he can read Moffy’s mind he just gets him and that so beautiful. I love how moffy is dedicated to his family and those he loves he would literally do anything for them but I do hope he realizes that it’s ok to be selfish sometimes. One thing that pissed me off so much
was the rumor about Jane and Moffy having an affair and the fact that ALL the adults believed the rumors and the media over their children. They’ve all suffered rumors at the hands of the media and they should’ve been the ones to understand the most (esp Ryke, Lily, and Lo with the whole three way rumor) but instead they all believed it and cornered them I also expected so much more from Connor he’s supposed to be the logical one in what sense would Jane and Moffy having an affair be logical?!?!?
I also hope that Moffy and Charlie’s relationship works out it hurts that they aren’t close

I wasn’t really impressed with this series. It felt so rushed. I feel like we didn’t really get to see Garrison grow to love himself it was like in one chapter he was self loathing and in the next he loved him self. It was so sudden. I think bc of the back and forth between past and present, there were many blank spaces in time. I also wish we got to see more of Willow’s old life we never saw the moment her and Maggie officially fell out or what happened with her sister and that was something I really wanted to see. Overall it was an ok book

This book was really good but I just didn’t feel anything for it yk? Like I enjoyed it and the characters and plot were good but I didn’t connect with it I felt like I was just reading words(which is what I’m doing but usually I feel more) I also felt like it ended so abruptly other than that I loved reading willow and garrisons love story start and I can’t wait to see how it ends I’m also super happy that I still get ti see Lo and Lily and Connor and rose❤️

Everytime I began to forget how they started and actually started liking the two of them, Ryke had to ruin it by saying some perverted shit. Like wtf he’s talking about how he gets turned on when he thinks about fucking her when they first met 2 times the first time he worded it like that and the second he said thinking about fücking her at 15 turned him on🤢 fücking wierdo

OMG THIS BOOK. This book was difficult I get through at times but I pushed my way through it bc I knew it was sending an important message and because it had me on the edge of my seat. This book captured how it felt to not only be a victim of abuse in every sense of the word but to be a black girl on top of that. In a world such as ours where young black girls are fetishized and over sexualized being called “grown” or “fast” over little shit like red nails, long hair, the shape of our body, the clothes we wear, the way we carry ourselves, etc, it can be so difficult coming out and telling the world you were abused. Especially bc we already know the world would be against us. As Malcolm X said “The most disrespected person in America is the black women. The most unprotected person in America is the black women. The most neglected person in America is the black women”. Over all loved this book
