I really like this on audio, I liked the naming of her parents as caricatures. It was raw and vulnerable and definitely touched on body image and food issues that I think many people can relate to.

It was wacky. it was insightful. It was heart crushing. I can see how it is an essential queer text.

Excellent writing, multiple points of view, short chapters that kept me wanting to turn the page. I appreciated the commentary on climate change without it being directly in your face. A great novel about class and expectations.

An incredible book, excellent on audio. I love how the author embedded himself in the border guides’ lives and not passing judgment on the decisions they often were forced to make.
