The first half of the book it felt like a lot of empty words for little plot but the second half I couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t sure what I expected but it definitely wasn't what this book became… This book will make you think about what you're doing with the life you have

Their relationship didn’t seem to have much foundation besides physical attraction but it was still a nice romance getaway that I was looking for

3.5 stars - First Book of the Month book I’ve received!!It’s weird reading a book most people haven’t read yet… Nice enemies to lovers that reminds me some of Reckless by Lauren Roberts. I felt like I could predict most of the plot but I’m interested to see where this series goes

3.5 stars - I love Emily Henry writing but sometimes I want a longer burn before a couple obviously likes each other

The classic bodyguard trope and I ate up every second of it. It was a lot of unnecessary back and forth but that didn’t stop me from finishing it in a day… Big fan of Fourth Wing and now I get romance books from Rebecca Yarros too ☺️

Their relationship felt completely physical and dominating… I liked the world and concept but I think they didn’t do the relationship justice. I hope the second book gives the characters a better chance at not being completely toxic

4.5 stars - Soooo refreshing to read a book where the couples only foundation isn’t physical attraction. The FMC actually has a brain and wit in addition to a plot focusing on war/politics. Looking forward to reading more of the series!!
