I’m still processing the trip this book took me on but I’m definitely going to read the next book in the series
Okay… so I like this series but it looks like the love triangle is not going to end with the guy I want winning the girl so I don’t think I can finish the series
I did end up reading the whole series a few weeks ago… I don’t think they are the best books that everyone makes them out to be but if you want a spicy romance get away with the trope of finding family in a small town than this might be a good series for you
I got about half way and DNF… I’ve been told that I should keep reading but I had so many other books to choose from that I never picked it back up. Is it worth pushing through?
I can’t put into words the impact this book had on me to make me try to understand only a fraction of what people went through during WWII. I was attempting to eat cookies during the last 100 pages and could not physically stomach eating them because it was too gut wrenching
From Book of the Month for November: I actually really enjoyed this. My favorite trope of enemies-to-lovers while also creating a foundation for a relationship instead of purely physical attraction was really refreshing. The banter from FMC
I want to love this series because it’s so popular but the writing is so average to me… Isla always seems to bother me and her inability to make a decision didn’t make the love triangle exciting but just inconvenient. The story seems very one dimensional, even with the hidden clues and objects I don’t feel immersed in this world or care for any side characters. The one thing this series does well is the cliff hangers
End of the day I’ll always be team Grim and hoping I don’t regret continuing to read this series
