The plot was so outrageous and hilarious. I was completely sucked in the entire time. I was running through this book - I couldn't out it down. Love the MCs - and my God those Aunties really take it out of you. As the reader you really feel all the feelings for her family along with the FMC. I can't fully explain it, but this book was just a good time.

This was a fun read. Really enjoyed all the characters and their dynamics. A few times I was right there with Meddy and annoyed with her Aunties but that added to the understanding of her character. This book grabbed me early and I sped through this book.

Oh my word this book was so fun!! Every character was so fun and interesting. And their interactions were hilarious. I love how Lemming set up the world and while keeping it full of hilarity, she was still able to include detailed and interesting world expansion. I laughed and giggled so much through out this book and was kept enthralled the entire time. And the ending was perfect - satisfying, introduces interesting new developments for future installments, and gets you really excited for the next book. Overall, just a good time and looking forward to book 2.

Amazing read. Highly recommend - especially to someone(s) who have had a loved one on hospice. Characters were lovely. You were immediately endeared to Louise and Helen. And I really enjoyed the dual timelines. Dual timelines can be a hit or a miss for me, and I really enjoyed how Becker organized them. The book immediately grabs your interest and doesn't let go until the last page. I couldn't not put this book down. And I thought the introduction to the healing was excellent. Overall, really enjoyed this read and related to it strongly.
An enjoyable read but didn't insight much excitement for future books in series just because we didn't get to see much of anyone but the two MCs.

I enjoyed this. Was pleasantly surprised by the amount of good world building and characterization. I kindof expected this to be a spice>plot endeavor and was not upset when I found otherwise. The introduction to these characters, world, and challenges was interesting and well done. Overall, this was an enjoyable short read for lovers of the romance genre.

This book was a fun read. Can never go wrong with sunshine/grumpy and love when sunshine has a dark side. The book did a good job at building to the ending and now I'm very excited for the next installment.

What's not to love about a Drag Queen turned amature sleuth. This book was so much fun! Holly Stars did a fabulous job at immediately grabbing you and holding you the entire time. I was completely enthralled. I felt alllll the emotions and had a marvelous time. And that ending - Oh my word - amazing. So excited for next book.

Enjoyed this book.I always enjoyed a fairytale story that leans into the more macabre side of the tales. I find it more interesting and realistic. The characters were fun and their past were revealed effectively to explain the motivations to their behaviors. Though, I feel the ending needed more emotional backing to be a truly effective conclusion. Overall, an interesting book.
