I finished it. But it wasn’t easy.

To be fair I think this was a mood issue and not a book issue. I’m glad I got that ending though… I didn’t see that coming.

Mild/moderate spice. Nothing crazy. This was a great blind date with a book from @probablysmut The banter is beautiful. If you’re an acts of service girly, Brody is god tier book boyfriend material. Anna is outspoken, but also a great listener, she also is terrified to drive in snow, has curves for days, and happy to show em. She is super relatable. This is one of those hallmark level cheesy romances with no 3rd act break up or miscommunications. It got me engrossed in the story and in love with all the characters. This was my first cowboy romance and I can say.. I’m a fan. I bet Poppy’s book is going to be a wild ride next month!

“Then I’m surprised you can stand hanging with me. Witches broker in creepiness.” “Yeah, but your creepy is cute. I’m hexually attracted to you.”

He was involuntarily summoned by a past lover in the middle of their first and only date. This made him off limits in her mind, but they both knew they were something different to each other. This Halloween, the demon followed the witch to a cursed castle, determined to keep her safe and maybe show her how could being his mate could be. Little did he know she came with her own curse, and to survive matehood, they had to survive the night.

If you have ever wanted to read a story where you could feel in every line the author had so much fun bringing this to life.. this is the one. Every mainstream Halloween horror movie character makes an appearance. And somehow it adds to the charm of the romance. This would make a great October read if you like to holiday theme your reading. But I loved it just as much in March. Kresley again proved her prowess in the PNR romance genre. This series never fails to disappoint, and being book 20, it’s the series that keeps on giving. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!

Rhode is a pro-goalie with 15 years in the league and a love of cross-stitch. At 33, he is ready for a new adventure but struggling with the idea of leaving the ice. Nina, is a 22 year old senior art student driving for Lyft to save money for her next step, a pottery fellowship in Argentina. Can he get over himself and let the age gap go? Can she immerse herself into the the crowds and crazy anxiety inducing life of a pro athlete? Also, a cat named chicken… say less 😂

This book was full of some of the best banter and swoon worthy moments I have read recently. The spice was placed perfectly, and well written without being cheesy. The alpha male jealousy and possessiveness was tempered with emotional intelligence to be sexy not cringy. Our FMC repped the anxious girl experience with on page panic attacks and mental health treatment with both meds and therapy. While their story was faced paced, it wasn’t quite instant-love, he definitely fell first despite trying to deny himself, and she tried to respect his wishes along the way, which only made him more confused. I am more than ready for Wyatt and Micah’s books. Ms. Trapp has made her way to my auto buy list.

“You are my home.”

Kicked out of her home country for saving her man from behind enemy lines (a very decorated general in the army, not just some foot soldier), and healing him from the bring of almost certain death. She carves out a life and peace for herself and her dragon complete with more found family while she waits for her man. After just getting comfortable in their new life, word comes with a pardon and a plea for aide. Will Vy and Rafe enjoy the peace they have worked so hard for or will Vy go back to save her mother and friends.

This wrap up was full of twists. I laughed. I ugly cried. I almost threw up. My poor kindle got tossed.. I savored it chapter by chapter. I could eat another book up of just them living their happy ending. I also want more side novels of all the found family members. M.A. Frick has a writing style that makes you feel like a kid again, getting lost in worlds, but it doesn’t feel YA. It’s a sweet spot that’s not easy to find. I enjoyed every glorious minute of this journey.
