Wolf Girl by Leia Stone
5.0
The author's intro was enough to make me want to read this story. This book was also recommended to me in similar books I have read recently on Amazon.
I love that the author included a map of her city to help the reader understand where the story takes place. The first part of the story really drew me in because I loved the story's opening part. You got to see Demi's personality and watch her lose control, which happened to be in front of a hot guy (Sawyer). I was very interested in this book from the Wolf Girl's point of view. The author totally captivated my attention with her unique additions to the fantasy world.
The books began at a Delphi University with a very introspective look at our main characters' circumstances and attitudes. The author covers the back story or the main characters very early in the book. Still, she doesn't info dump the information. She does it thru conversation and thought. The reader definitely gets enough information to understand the history as things progress.
Werewolf City is mentioned, and I loved that the author had an entire backdrop set up with scenes I could imagine as they described it. Wolf Girl is Demi, and of course, the hot alpha's son is Sawyer. (Don't worry, I won't post any spoilers, this one you have to read for yourself). I enjoyed that Demi is relatable and a strong female character even with all the drama and unexpected events.
This book gets even more interesting as you read through and get more backstory on the main characters, their personalities, and, of course, the history as well as the current situation.

While this book has more humor in it and definitely progresses toward a resolution. I still didn’t love the story line and the way the characters had to to struggle constantly against each other and their situation. Lots of hot steamy scenes but the constant drama didn’t make it enjoyable to read .
The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
5.0
I originally purchased this after watching the movies to preview them from my daughter to make sure there is no mature content for her to read them. While I have seen the moves for the hunger game, I found the book exciting and a little bit more detailed in the mind of Katniss. I’m reviewing the entire trilogy as a set event though it includes books you can buy separately. The books that make up this trilogy are
I loved that I could relate, feel abs even connect with the characters and their thoughts. I was surprised to find more information in the movie to expand on some of the dramatic scenes. I won’t be giving those away as I think everyone who loves a movie and then wants to read the books absolutely should.
I enjoyed this series, and I wanted the whole crew of people who became essential to our heroine Katniss. I enjoyed learning more about her thoughts and how she makes decisions. I really enjoyed the emotional connection she has to both Peeta and Gale. I also enjoyed seeing what the end result was of their love triangle.
This set of books was a great read and a fantastic movie. It didn’t have any explicit content besides the routine violence and descriptions of violence. I feel this set could be read by young adults and isn’t just for a mature audience.

Happily Never After by Lauren Landish

This book is explosive, a perfect ending to this trilogy. The dirty talk, independent characters make it fun to read and not know what to expect next. This book so hot, sinful, funny, and swoon-worthy. But the relationship and characters' focus isn't the only thing going on. As you get further into it, the gentle or not so gentle reminder about the previous conflicts comes to the surface. It was thrilling to see that get played out and finished. I love a good happy ever after, but this one will always be awe-inspiring. I loved seeing how the author wrapped this up and brought all the emotions with it.
The author is a true story writer. She fills the books with humor, action, romance, and even heartbreak. I definitely was intrigued when the story started off with a Navy Seal and even more interested when the new bakery owner comes into the account. The food innuendos are fantastic and well thought out. The family scenes are realistic and relatable. The way trouble is mentioned but not at the forefront is impressive as you get more interested in their love story. The highlight for me was the scenes where the characters really stood out. I also enjoyed how she brought all our favorites stories intermingled with this one. So far, I have loved everything Lauren Landish has written and look forward to reading more of her spellbinding romance stories.

Not So Prince Charming by Lauren Landish

I would not exactly say the hitmen, danger, and evil CEOs is my idea of a fairy tale. Still, I do think the author did a great job in holding the romance in her story. As this book doesn't meet my fairy tale expectations. It was a great exciting read with the danger and mystery involved. If you love a bad boy and a whole ton of action, you don't want to miss this story. I also loved that the characters from the first book were included in this story. I even enjoyed the trouble from the first book expanded on to keep the reader guessing. She weaved and expanded her story perfectly, even though this was focused on different main characters. I do like that, although not everything is tied up at the end of the story. You still get a happy ending—lots of steamy scenes and a little bit of mystery about what book 3 will contain.
I still thought the author really brought her vision to life, interweaving danger and unexpected surprises along the way. I really didn't enjoy this book as much I thought I would, but it was a great middle story to the series. I kinda wished the relationship didn't progress as quickly as it did, but at the same time, I did enjoy the romantic and hot scenes.

Tempted by Willow Winters, Lauren Landish
3.0
Tempted is a unique romance book beginning with a funeral and heartbroken Woman named Elizabeth and a very hot neighbor Liam. The story evolves as the charters get into each other's orbit. Living next door in her dead stepfather's rental, Liam feels like he knows all about Elizabeth and already loves her just from the stories he has heard her father tell. He was there when he took his last breath. Elizabeth is unsure about this man, let alone why he is her neighbor. She is heartbroken over her stepfather's death. The drama really begins when the reading of the will surprises-both characters and leaves them in a more stubborn battle besides just attraction. Elizabeth must now think about what she will do and agree to a date with the mystery neighbor. She just wants to know what and why he is getting more from her stepfathers' death than she is. This book twists and turns as the characters grow closer, eventually putting Elizabeth in danger due to Liam's business. Raging mad, she must decide if she loves him or if due wants nothing to do with him. Can she accept the Bad Boy Next Door? Will he leave being bad for her?
This book was a quick standalone read for me, something to pass the time, and I enjoyed the story, the drama, and the romance. Everyone loves a bad boy, right, even when they look so good. This story is filled with sexual tension, relief, murder, and so many naughty things. The characters weren't well developed, but the reader knew enough to get involved for a standalone book. It didn't really invoke a feeling, but I enjoyed the action if the read anyway. I love how the author evolved an unknown man into a surprise love. I wish we would have had more information on the setting as it made following the action difficult. This romance is perfect for a quick read or just a look at what a bad boy can be. The Authors did a great job of leaving the story with enough to think there may be more to it or another book.
