I absolutely adore these audiobooks read by Barbara Rosenblat. I love the mystery, the atmosphere, the setting, the characters, the romance, the humor - everything!! The twist at the end of this with the Master Criminal left me reeling and also screaming (in a good way). This one was so good!

Don’t read these, listen to the audiobook narrated by the wonderful Barbara Rosenblat. A hilarious Victorian romp.

Walking Red Flag by Morgan Elizabeth
Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.

I hated the writing style. If I had to read “I’m a virgin” or “I’m a doctor” one more time I was going to hurl myself off a cliff.

I loved this SO MUCH!

This book has been on my radar for years and I admittedly checked it out from the library once and never read it, but I’m glad because the audiobook was such an incredible experience!!

What we’ve got- a headstrong and independent spirit medium and a big, gruff, Swedish bootlegger. There’s instant chemistry that just flairs through this whole book. It’s seriously 🥵 Plus there’s ghosts, warring gangs, bombs, fistfights, speakeasy raids, and so much more!! It felt a little like The Diviners but make it smut. 10/10 recommend 👏🏻

There was a little too much going on here with the mystery aspect for me to keep it all straight and I did get slightly confused, BUT I loved the romance element and the atmosphere so solid addition to the series.

Alligator Moon was 1000x better. 

The beginning of this was okay - I liked the initial meet cute, I thought the backstory with her missing TV star mom was intriguing, but it ended in a completely lackluster way. It just fizzled out to nothing. And the last chapter was disappointing. Sigh.

Another great Krewe novel! As someone who just went to Salem in October it was so fun to be back in that sphere! Loved the past murder and the future mystery and the addition of a pet bird. This little trilogy in this series so far is so good!!
