This was a solid thriller. Decent twisty at the end. It never was boring but also didn’t put me on the edge of my seat.

This is a fun cozy horror compared to what I usually read which made for a great palate cleanser.

This is desperate housewives meets the exorcist.

This was on the light side of horror. Not a lot of gore but just a light sprinkling. I was entertained the whole time and really enjoyed it.

The last few chapters is where most of the action is but it is worth the build up. The ending was 🤯🤯 that was the perfect way to end the book.

But because I have read a lot of horror books. I’ve read better so that’s why I didn’t give it as high as a rating.

These books are so addicting. I remember why these books are so popular. They grab and keep your attention the whole entire time.

I don’t know why I keep reading these. They just keep getting worse and worse. The parents are still acting like parenting is optional.

I love this series. It was the beautiful combination of spooky and crime thriller all mixed into one.

The Steinbeck and Reed series is one of those series that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Steinbeck and Reed are in a the Finnish Town of Alku where outsiders are usually not welcome. I love the spooky feel of this town and almost culty vibes.  We also got a mention of her other book Bloodlines. It’s fun to see the connections between the books.

Steinbeck and Reed have a great chemistry when it comes to working together and you can really see them flow together.

The plot is there and is full of twist that you won’t see coming. This is the perfect book to curl up with on a dark fall night.

Mary Kubica is becoming one of my favorite thriller authors.   She sends you on one crazy ride!!

Cozy Mysteries are my palate cleanser.

The Knit and Nibble Mysteries are just so cozy and have a book for all the seasons.

Peggy really makes me want to pack up my house and move to Aborville. It was a cozy almost Stars Hollow town where everyone knows everyone.

Pamela, a widow with her daughter out of the house has some how been wrapped up in the latest murder in Aborville. As an amateur sleuth Pamela is going to get wrapped up in this murder.

This is a very cozy plot line. I love the characters as they are more in the middle age area and feel more relatable to me then younger characters do.

After reading 10+ books in this series I feel very interested not only in the murder plot line but the characters lives. I’m still hoping for a Pamela and Richard Larkin Romance.

The Halloween part of this book is literally in the beginning and I wish the book had more Halloween vibes but the murder happens on Halloween night and then Halloween is over.

Thank you Kensington Publishing for a free copy of Dark and Stormy Knit for a honest review 💜

This is collection of short stories about black women that survive horror stories.

I really wanted to love this. But most of the stories were absolutely dull. I wasn’t scared and even on my toes with this one.

The Cosmo story and the Zombie one were probably the best ones out of all the stories.

The green juice made absolutely no sense…

This book made me audibly gasp at the end. This was a wild ride from start to finish. I was on the roller coaster of this thriller until the very last sentence.
medium-paced

This is a quick thriller under 300 pages that will keep you on your toes.

Paul and Cecelia are in Paris for their one year wedding anniversary. What they both don’t know is they each have their own secrets for this trip.

This was a quick read. I was able to easily fly through it and stay interested in the story line. We get 3 POVs from Paul, Cecelia and mysterious dairy entries.

This isn’t a super twisty book that will leave you gasping at every turn but it still had some good twist coming towards the end.

What I do want to know is more about Paul’s first marriage. We get some information about how he left her and took his kids but that’s it.
