I enjoyed this one so much, it was what I expected and more.

We continue the journey of this group of friends into the academy and all the drama that entails since they do have different classes and activities.

Then we do have the mystical part with them having to help the orishas and having to stop some other plots in the meantime and there's so much fun in the middle of all, lot of distress too but I'm awaiting next one anxiously.

Thank you to Katie and Brey PA, Vesuvian Media, Lucas Astor, and Alexandrea Weis for providing me with a digital copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Firsts Impressions

This one since it was a horror, it was very slow at the beginning for any reason, we can do horror without slow burn really. the setting was in high school, for a lot of us that could have been hell most probably, for others will be the best time of their lives and for the very weird minority we don't even really register it.

Now we did have the very tense atmosphere of adolescence in it's breaking point, guys and girls discovering what they wanted in life and making plans.

for me it was very difficult to relate to almost any character but leslie maybe, so that didn't help me since it was more like a task by the end.

Characters

Leslie did have a personality that was good, I liked that in insight she did have a little maturity to her not all the way but more than the other girls in this book.

Beau was absolutely despicable, but I do think that was the aim with him, why are girls always wanting a douche like that I will never know.

Dawn I could understood her in a very long shot, but there's always that friend that is insecure but doesn't seem that way and you envy her because she is perfect.

Derek was so sweet he was I think the only good think in these whole ordeal.

Themes

Now we did have a lot of triggers in this one, we did have rape, cruelty, horrible parenting, to say a few.

Final Thoughts

By the end it did surprise me with that twist, but it didn't peak my interest for a later date really, I was just glad it was over and in the worst case scenario it shed a little light but it was already too late.

 First Impressions

What first called my attention was the mystery was more about the place than the people, that was curious in a way, then you have 2 timelines piecing up what's going on with this place and the feeling that something was always there in the shadows so cool.

This it's the first I read from the author will not be the last she has this way of reeling you in with the plot and the characters that makes you want to be there maybe help them, if you have a curious mind you will encounter yourself piecing all together with them.

Characters

They were times I want to kill them, punch them or do anything just for they to come to some sense, but they do were very human too so it felt the more you got in the story the more wanted to know what what's going on with them and what their end will be.

Final Thoughts

By the end I felt so invested in this already I just wanted to know what else was going to happen if they were getting of there or not, ll of them and what will happen with the other ones if they got or not what they deserved, loved the end give me a lot of that and it felt as if a weight was off my shoulders already.

Super recommended if you like suspense and psychological thrillers with a little of crime in it.

First Impressions

This one sit down a while in my tbr pile, but when I picked it up the plot was interesting, a little slow for a little read like this one, but it serve a purpose, if I understood correctly this one it's a bit of a prologue to the series so you know who the characters are and what more or less you will encounter later on so not bad.

Characters

They were from all the galaxy since this one its on space and alliances and such are the daily occurrence, that mythology are taking a little more factual here it's actually amazing too, that made it even better for me since I love to read such legends too.

Final Thoughts

For it to be a novella length it did packed a punch right, I mean I'm anxious to see the series as it is of this little one, sounds super intriguing, it has romance, genetic mutations and treason, very in the fashion of a space opera I can't to read all.

 First Impressions
So this one was even as good or maybe better than the first one, I was like puzzling everything together with Gretchen and Marconi, I had my theories and it felt so good when I was right.

It begins very fast paced in a way for me, since you go tangle yourself in the investigation very early on the book and the tone was so good.

Characters
The development and the intrigue between them just grow better and better every time I read totally awesome really, I was having some troubles with the past ones but when you understand why they are there it’s so cool and ask yourself how did you miss that link before.

Fina thoughts
By the end I was totally obsessed and wanting to get to the end of the mystery and in a way not wanting for it finish really since it was so good.

I ask myself if this it’s the last we see about Gretchen White?

Firsts Impressions

The concept was very interesting really, it kept me reading till the end.

In this one I had a very cool approach to the vampire myth, a destined travel to Romania will set everything in motion for Nicoletta our protagonist and her friends.

I loved that it took place in an unconventional place than usual being set in romania instead of the states but I liked that a lot.

The plot was pretty straightforward and give you something to look out for in the story and there was some tension in very specific places it kept me on edge wanting to know more.

Characters

One thing I liked about this one, is that well the characters are very nicely done, Nicoletta is a very normal girl in perspective she has some cool things because of her genetics but she bleeds, cry and laugh, like any other girl so it was easy to connect to her in a way.

The characters they go through hell and back in this one not necessarily bad, life is like that some people have it rough others not so much so in that regard it was nice that it wasn’t pink roses in every step.

Final Thoughts

At the end I was invested already and enjoyed the book a lot, it dragged a little at times but it contributed to the overall story , i did find some typos or errors here and there but i received an arc for this one so could have been that.

The idea was interesting with the voinocos and vanators and the little village, but in a way it left you thinking are the legends real?
