I really enjoyed this read! I loved the way that the story focused on different characters from chapter to chapter, and I felt engaged and enveloped into the story from the first page.

This book shattered me in the best way. Lily is so sweet, and the bond between her and Ted was so endearing. Did I cry through this whole book? Yes. Would I recommend it to everyone? Also yes.

Wow wow wow, this book had me gripped from start to finish. I fully intended to finish it way faster than I did, but every time I had to tear myself away I kept saying "I'll stop after the next chapter..." I was in the mood for a good mystery book, and thank you Mom for the recommendation, even before you had read it and I accidentally spoiled part of it! The thought of what I would do, if I were Jacob, accused of murdering a classmate, or if I were Andy or Laurie, being trapped between defending my loved one and conceptualizing the slightest possibility that they are not who I thought they were... All in all a great read, each layer that unfolded just added more and more and more to the story and to my speculations about what happened.

Steven Rowley, I love you. This book was wonderful from start to finish. I loved the structure of flipping back and forth between focusing on each character, and the concept of having a living funeral to make sure that the people in your life know they are loved is so touching. I will be making sure that all my loved ones know that they are loved, even if I don't throw them a funeral. I'm ready for the next Rowley masterpiece please! I am never disappointed by his work.

I really enjoyed this book! The way the plot was set up, going through chapters of Mele's cookbook and introducing the separate storylines of each of her friends, was very captivating for me. I was intrigued at how each of the stories would lend themselves to a recipe in the book, and I loved the honest way that Mele wrote about her life in such an unexpected way for the Mom's Club.

I liked the twisty turns, the setting in beautiful Amalfi Coast (especially the specific mention to the Wine and Drugs store Mom and I visited in Ravello!), and the Taylor Swift references. The footnotes and 2 spelling mistakes that made it into the final copy were distracting though. But I would definitely read another book by Catherine Mack, especially a sequel to this book

I remember bringing this book on an international trip and felt like I was just reading it because I had it. I did finish the book but it was not very gripping. I like to be gripped, especially in a murder mystery.
