Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley

I was absolutely LOVING this book until the romance plot line started. Maybe I’ve just grown out of YA romances but it was painful to read and put me in a 3 month reading slump. It really sucked because I think the plot/characterization/writing style was really great. Maybe I’ll pick this book up again someday in the future to try again, but for now I’m going to move on to other things.

The art is SO cute. It’s a decent adaptation of the first 1.5 books, if a bit rushed. Would definitely recommend for fans of the Wings of Fire graphic novels or kids that are struggling with chapter books like the Warriors series.
