It was... meh. Corny. I usually like corny. Not this one.
First half was awesome, then... Boring. Honestly, what I enjoyed most was the scenes involving the stalker drama. The book could have been waaay better if the whole book was around that, but oh well.
It could have been shorter tbh, like 50-60 pages shorter imo.
Some dialogues were so unrealistic, that's not how real people talk, I think <s>but how would my social-anxiety-ass know</s>. And sometimes I just couldn't handle the cringe, sorry not sorry, but I'm more about subtlety. Some jokes were just... <u>corny</u>, I can't think of another word. Same with some, uh, romantic dialogues. Just... ew. Too much, even for me. And that's a lot for me to say lol
Maybe I'm in a weird mood today, that's why I'm opinating all of this. Idk.
I still had some good giggles, but not all the comedic moments hit imo.
The writing, specially on the dialogues, with characterization, voice and all that, could be way better. But then again, maybe the author got better in their next books. I don't usually notice this things or point them out because I read to enjoy the story and not to analyze the writing (at least with these kind of books), but I see myself with the need to point it out in this book for some reason.
The characters weren't all that much.
I loved Iris tho, he's great, I laughed so much in all his scenes. Love the dude.
It wasn't all that bad, honestly. It is good to kill time I guess. Don't think I will continue the series tho.
