Faun Over Me by B.L. Brown

This book had a lot of the cozy summer camp vibes, but there was a creepy undertone not knowing what was after them.

I liked the characters overall, they both had issues that they worked together to over come. I thought they had good chemistry.

The book also tackled more complex themes than I was excepting. It helped the world feel more realistic to me. I loved the backdrop of the camp, but I wish we got to see a little more of the day to day activities.

If you are looking for a quick read with a good balance of spice and plot. Look no further.

With multiple POV at the beginning it was a little bit difficult to keep things straight at the beginning, until I got to know the characters better.

Each character was unique and I liked seeing their individual skills help each other. It was nice to slowly see them come together and learn to work/trust each other. Some of them had dark backstories.

There was a bit of romance between some of the characters. It felt like a little unrealistic at times. It wasn’t a huge part of the story so it didn’t really impact my feelings overall.

I felt like the whole building was very interesting. I really liked exploring various different places in the world. There was a lot of action throughout the story. Many twists and turns keeping me guessing until the end. I can’t wait for book 2

Another hit from Emily Henry. I really enjoyed myself reading this one. There was a nice balance of funny moments, but also several moments there characters had to be vulnerable. I really loved their chemistry, and the forced proximity & fake dating between the two.

I also felt like this book has well rounded side characters. I really loved all of the friends she made at her work. His sister was great too! There were a lot of interesting family dynamics at play.

I would’ve loved to see a little bit more of their exs throughout the story. The scenes they where they ran into our main characters were my favorite.

I highly recommend!

This book started a little slow building up a lot of interesting family dynamics. It picked up pace the more the story went along.  There were some twists and turns that I didn’t expect, and some that I was able to predict. I enjoyed the nostalgic references. It kept me engaged and wanting to keep reading!

I loved the podcast element listening via audiobook. It’s hard to root for any of the characters in the book. There were many fun “bombshell” reveals throughout the book that kept me wanting to read more. There was a little bit of predictably but overall kept me guessing until almost the end. My main complaint is that I wish there didn’t have to be a romance between the main characters. Overall was a great read.

This was my first book from Dani, and it definitely won’t be my last. This is the 3rd book in a series. They can be read in whichever order but there may be some minor spoilers because the main characters from the previous books do show up throughout this story.
She did an amazing job of making relatable characters, who go through a lot of growth, blending it perfectly with the spice I love in a romance novel.
The characters are just so relatable. I love that there were awkward moments. They both were able to help each other grow and become better people throughout the novel.  They had good chemistry with each other. The LGBTQIA+ representation within the story was well done.
I liked the workplace romance vibes, even though I was stressed out for them the entire time. As it is with these books, someone eventually finds out and I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I felt like the drama at the end of the story was wrapped up maybe a little quick for my liking.
I also really enjoyed the characters from the previous books showing up. I liked the friendship between all of them. It definitely also made me want to go read the previous books to learn more about each of the couples stories. Overall I had a fantastic time reading this. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, spicy, hockey romance.
