Honestly, this is one of the few mystery novels I've read that had a cheesy solution, but it was still pretty enjoyable. The writing style was witty and the layout of events was clever. Very much enjoyed

An absolutely adorable example of feelings and how to flow with them. I feel like I learned a lot through these little dino comics.

I'm a fan of video games, but not so much so that I'd ever want to make one. And now I truly know how much work that would take. The main characters in this book are complex to the point where they feel like people I could have gone to school with or worked with.  Same and Sadie's friendship seems so real and raw. No one is perfect but no one is evil. They're all just humans.

To say I enjoyed this book would be an understatement. I had to put off finishing it until I could get the second one so I wouldn't be left on what I was sure would be a heart wrenching cliffhanger. The ending wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it still felt really tropey. The buildup of the MC relationship was really obvious, but they usually are in romantic books.  This book was better than I expected, however I feel had I been paying closer attention, I would have found it full of plot holes. But tbh I was just in it for the vibes.

Matt Haig has reeled me in again. The last book I read of his was the Midnight Library and it pulled me out of a really dark time. Reading this book, I now have a new perspective on life. I will live like an alien on earth. I have learned to look at the simple things with joy and wonder. This is definitely a book I will be purchasing and reading over and over and telling everyone about.

I loved listening to this audiobook. The voices the narrator did were so diverse and fit the characters perfectly. Also T. Kingfisher never misses. The plot had me hooked. The mystery of it all was probably pretty predictable, but it had me by the thorns.

Best romance book I've ever read. A bit of spice, but not so much that it was overpowering the plot. And it was well written spice too 🥵

A very odd read, which is exactly what I was expecting. I didn't appreciate the constant use of the r slur or the n slur with the hard -er. I feel like I would have enjoyed the book much more without all that.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.
Tbh, I'm not sure exactly how far I got, but it wasn't much.  I returned the book through Libby before writing this review.

I knew pretty quickly that I wasn't going to be able to enjoy this book, so I quit before wasting to much time. Our narrator (aka Eleanor, our family "reject" returned) seems so confused about her own family. One moment, she's so shocked and terrified by their actions and manarisms, the next she's acting like she knows them so well. It seems the author can't tie down which narrative they want to follow.
