I was really excited for this sequel and although I enjoyed it, I liked it less than the first book. I struggled with the first 35 percent of the book and even found myself a bit bored at times. The plot was a bit chaotic and at some points I thought too much was going on.

I had heard so much about this book so I finally decided to read it. I liked the concept. I wish there was some more world-building, especially in the first half when we are getting to know the characters and their abilities. I enjoyed the writing for the most part, but it had some repetitive moments and cliches. Overall, it was a nice read and I do want to read the next book.
